Black Viewport and 2 Errors! NEED SOME HELP OVAR HERE!
The viewport stays completly black no matter what I do.It don't respond by moving or anything else. When I go into source tf2 game it works fine, but main viewport does not!

I also get one error when I start up sfm.

"The game window is smaller than the sfm render resolution.

While rendering will be unaffected, the viewports will be unable to display an accurate preview of your render.

To fix this problem, increase the game window size at launch with the -w and -h command-lines parameters, or remove -sfm_resolution 1080 from your command line."

I also get ANOTHER error when I load maps.Even though the ones valve already made a video on are HDR rigged I believe.

"This map is missing highdynamic range(HDR) lightmaps.
The SFM requires HDR lightmaps to render properly.
You can crate HDR lightmaps for your map with hammer or vrad.
See the Source Developer Wiki for more info."

Screwed around a little bit with command line options. Nothing helped?

Can you help me with my viewport not displaying anything?

Thanks for any help!

Please help guys! I am not able to figure this out for myself!
Has it always done that, or was this caused by the new update?
What are your system specs, and monitor resolution?
Not new update. Oh god system specs. Let me get those....

Direct X11 (WHUT? I thought I had much less than that...... GMOD/TF2/SFM all says I have 8 only capabilities...probably the graphics card!)
Windows Vista Service Pack 2
RAM 4GB
GeForce 6200 (489 Approx. Memory)
Current Display Mode: 1024x768(32 bit) (70Hz)
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80 GHz 2.79 GHz

Yeah that might be sketchy, need anymore information tell me! Hope you can help!

And your graphics card?

The fact you have DX11 installed doesn't mean your GPU can handle it. DXDiag says I have DX11 too, yet my Radeon HD 4850 only supports up to DX10.
Above look closely Geforce 6200!
Oh sorry lol, hadn't seen it.

Well, as far as I can tell the 6200 should be enough for SFM, it's supposed to support DirectX 9 shader model 3. If some apps tell you it only supports DX8 you might wannna update your graphics card drivers.

The "The game window is smaller than the sfm render resolution." error is caused by your screen resolution being too low for SFM's native 1280 X 720 render resolution. What's the make and model of your monitor? Perhaps you could push the resolution a bit higher.
Fully up to date...
Edit:Also can't make monitor go further.

Hm, you know I'm having doubts about the graphics card. Some sources seem to state the GeForce 6200 should be enough, but looking at the release dates, it seems it came out in 2004-2005, while the oldest GeForce 200 series card (minimum reqirement for SFM) came out in 2009... Wish I knew GeForce GPUs better...

EDIT:

Actually, I just remembered my parents' old computer had a GeForce 7300 in it, and I'm positive that hunk o' junk wouldn't run SFM in a million years. I'd wait for a second opinion since my knowledge on the subject is a tad limited, but I believe you have to buy a new computer if you ever hope to use SFM...

R234 is correct, I hate to say this but I believe the GeForce 6200 is an outdated AGP 8x video card. I would be surprized if you had more than 128mb of DDR memory on it.

I just found this on your card and unfortuantely it pretty much spells it out.

This info is straight from the GeForce 6 Series Wiki page...

GeForce 6200

GeForce 6200 in a low-profile AGP form factor
With just 4 pixel pipelines, the 6200 series forms Nvidia's value/budget (low-end or entry level) product. The 6200 omits memory compression and SLI support, but otherwise offers similar rendering features as the 6600s. The later 6200 boards were based on the NV44 core (s), which is the final production silicon for the 6200 series.

GeForce 6200 chip specifications

[edit] GeForce 6200
Core Clock: 300 MHz
Memory Clock: 550 MHz
Pixel Pipelines: 4
Vertex Processors: 3
Memory: 128 MB/256 MB/512 MB [5] DDR on a 64-bit/128-bit interface

SFM's minimum requirements are

Video: NVIDIA GeForce 200 series card or better, or AMD Radeon 3000 series or better (NVIDIA GeForce 400 series or AMD Radeon 5000 series preferred)

These are PCIe cards with a minimum 512mb - 1gb of DDR2 memory which support DX10.

the "The game window is smaller than the sfm render resolution." error thing is from having the 1080p set as your launch option. I get that everytime I launch SFM with 1080p enabled. but if i launch SFM without it I don't get the error. you get that because by default SFM (and specifically game mode (F11)) is set to 720p.
See this on HDR errors...

Sorry AndromedaKnight, but you're going to have to try and wrap your head around it. right now I'm fighting a different battle trying to get a couple of more tuts out... but that being said, you kinda of came into this discussion asking if the answer was here and didn't really point out what your problem was.

Please spell it out (again) and identify the map you are trying to get to work.
Did you by any chance copy TF2's content into SFM? That might have replaced the HDR maps with non HDR ones (TF2's maps don't have HDR, the ones included in SFM were recompiled with it).
