Exported movie TOO dark
Hi

I would like to know how I can make so my exported movies aren't so dark! The movie is bright in SFM but when I export them, they become so dark!

Same thing happens with me. Its a weird thing about SFM. Anyways, I always add a lot of lights and sometimes I set up the tonemapscale a bit

This is only opportune for me because I edit my videos a bit before final export, but my exports from the editor tend to be as Image Sequence - Sony Vegas can import those directly as videos, and attach the accompanying WAV file SFM generates. Just thought I'd mention, as I've had no darkness issues that way.

problem with that is it takes half the color. Like I have a red engineer, you can see his clothes is nice and bright red but when I render it with H.264 the colors look faded, his shirt isnt as red like before.

This is a 7 year old thread.

Render as an image sequence.

This is a good guide for how to convert the image sequence back to a video file
