OMG
Ive been working in SFM's SDK for 2 months and now i have a pretty awsome trade map but it takes more than an hour to compile! Can anyone tell me a way to speed it up? (without deleting any objects)

I think you can just set VRAD or VVIS to Fast instead of Normal (if you're using the "Normal" compiling method), possibly both, but I don't remember which of those I used to use at fast.

Just today i was compiling my map and it took 3 hrs, got to biuldvisleafs, and then crashed

Crap. now im transfering it to bsp. My map is done! Problem? still takes an hour to load. Please someone help me make it work. (and or speed it up)
Why are you making a trade map in SFM, anyway? It won't load in the actual game, so far as I know.

That aside, though, did you use func_detail at all? Did you check the compile log for leaks? Leaks and a lack of func_detail are the two biggest causes of unnecessarily-long compile times.
Well, yes. there are no leaks, but i did find a way!!! Answer: make more skyboxes. How does this work????
And why am i making it in SFM?
That's because you're doing it wrong. Source SDK doesn't work anymore, period; you're expected to launch Hammer.exe from the /tf/bin/ directory.
