I'll repeat myself again just so you can understand this time.
Ilinx didn't get scared from PC for one release, seeing how they went to work on Left Alive which came out literally a year after that.
They are also NOT a major developer for gundam, they literally only made Gundam games for three years, 2013-2016, how good the games are is irrelevant, compared to developers like BB Studios who have been making Gundam games for over a damn decade at this point or even Koei has more time with the franchise than they did and I wouldn't even consider them major devs either.
And they did not get fired after running a franchise for damn near the start like Kojima nor are they a pioneer and business partner/cofounder of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ apple, they're folks who helped make three gundam games in three years, regardless of how fun or good those games was they're not a major player in the brand for Bandai, hell they didn't even GET fired because they're contractors, they simply didn't get brought back for the new game on the new engine nor the mobile game, also on a new engine. If anything, what really happened with Ilinx is that the people who subcontracted them (Crafts & Meister) simply thought they could make the next game without them.
Even just generic mech games are slim and few.
Trueeeeeeee. I go on steam under mech and only see one page on steam... See that I own 70% that aren't complete ish and then cry a little inside
But things can easily change with updates if they choose to do so. But damn they're taking awhile. We had a 2022 release announced last year...and it's August 2022.
Game Dev Action Response - Cheaters are now in every game and are becoming rampant if the Devs respond swiftly or at least look like they are attempting to curb the issue people will stay longer if they do what the BloodHunt devs did and radio silence the community until their game legit was dead then they realized oh damn we gotta actually talk to our community so they don't get pissed and leave then this game is toast.
MTX/Lootbox/Gatcha - They can't do typical Asia ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and load it up with either P2W Gundam variants or gatcha ♥♥♥♥ they can have MTX but not focusing solely on loading up a shop with no actual game content in the pipleline
Content - This game is gonna need to PUMP out content need Gundams maybe dabble in different Era's give us maps maybe a new mode here and there but if this game gets hot out the gate they need to strike while the iron is still hot because if they are not releasing content while the player base is high they might as well close shop on the NA side they will never make a profit
Hero shooters can be popular, and do have considerable longevity if the devs keep at adding new characters+balancing. They just have to use ideas that aren't 1:1 Overwatch. Paladins is one of the few that didn't rip off Blizzard in it's entirety so it still has a decent following.
And from what big praise I hear, people looking forward to Gundam Evolution have a lot to look forward to. So do the devs and publisher if they play their cards right post-launch.
