Best weapon in the game

Oh so you thought the best weapon was Reforged Radzig Kobyla's Sword?

Sword of Sir Valentine a one-handed short-sword has better damage, swings faster, uses less stamina, has similar defence and can still be used for masterstrikes. The range of the sword is close to the length of a long-sword too. Since KCD 2 has sooo many perks that boosts the stats of using one-handed weapons with the other hand free the long-sword has become redundant in the mid to late game.

It's more about style for most people I think than what's most effective. But seeing as you can't reforge radzig's sword to tier 4 I've not bothered & replaced with a different tier 4 longsword. I also prefer the look of the warhammers than maces, even though I've seen some better maces overall.

Yeah, It's my main weapon now as well. I use it by itself with no shield. I like the combos on the short sword better too so it all works out.

Does Sir Valentine not have far lesser damage stats?
Wiki said 159/167/25 while the reforged Radzig has 199/190/38

So even if the 1h sword is faster, it has lower range and stats?

It is tier 4, the stats increase alot. There's just clearly a image bug.

honestly so far ive been rocking the tier 4 fancy pole axe from the preorder DLC mission that thing has reach and slaps. also great for horse back combat.

Some enemies will eat up to 10 enhanced piercing arrows with the best bow in the game but will die of 1 or 2 masterstrikes. Is there some place to buy the poison? I hate alchemy. :'(

Sword of Sir Valentine is ok, if you want headline numbers, but I find the tier IV Basilard better if going without a shield, as it faster and seams better in timing to get masterstrikes for me at least

Yes in the item description that is true - But not when wearing the swords for me currently. Also, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the Radzig sword in quality 4, it seems a lot of other people couldn't either. Sword of Sir Valentine was quality 4 on first try and I did a horrible job compared to Sir Radzig.

From perks you can get:
- 10% increase in damage from thievery
- 20% lower stamina usage with attacks and parry/block from agility
- 30% increase in defence and 20% lower stamina with attacks and parry/block usage from swords

With Sword of Sir Valentine enemies can't even respond to attacks if you don't trigger their masterstrikes. You can keep hitting them and whenever they block and try to riposte you just hit them again because they won't be fast enough to hit you before you hit them again. Very effective for combos too.

I am not sure it hits faster and the stats are much lower. Also, the entire point of this post is that you should use your one-handed weapon with the other hand free to get all the bonuses.
