The ablility to read the enemys team chat would only make no one want to use it. Since this game depends on teamwork, that's harldy what we need.
I always get bored as the com, once you reach a cetain point its sit there n drop supply station n keep droppin turrets in the same place when there destroyed. Just me though im not a massive fan of RTS element in this game (probly due to the speed of each round and the speed some people expect, cant get into the swing of it when its if something isnt done at the exact time yur demoted and get no chance to learn that role well enough to enjoy it lol)
Yeah the game requires comunication thats why i think hijacking your opponents main chat would be cool, that way your left with a commander who either gives away your plan or silence, this leaves you with only the squad chat left to co-ordinate attacks/defence with. Why make a game easier add more that makes things harder and challenging.

Ah misstype stickz sorry, ah that sucks man least it gets fixed soon. Not long had ND if im honest i wouldnt have bought it if it hadnt been so cheap, which im slightly ashamed of as i looked at it ages ago n thought nah looks crap.......how wrong was I lmao.
I'm glad we can discuss it in a respectful, logical manner. Those are always more fun then the alternative.
I watched a few of my friends play one of the older CoD games and it was spawn prowlers and pop up snipers and very little of anything else and it just put me off playing it.
What do you think of tanks/APC's being added to ND and how do you think it would be best implemented?
Personally i like the APC idea as you could ferry people about and provide highly mobile assault and some cover, but the maps are really small so new maps would be needed (not a bad thing) but tanks....i dunno would be a bit much i think.

Unless ND has a sudden surge of players, it's not going to happen.
O yeah ND really needs more players, i get why its over looked, but recent steam sales, im guessing, would have helped bulk out the player base. Not sure just as it is it can attract more players.
After all, in small servers, there are often only one person that even wants to com.
Main thing they need is an ad campaign, and more maps, from the workshop some of the maps there look promising. Nd deserves more exposure imho.
Well, believe me when I say making maps aren't easy. However, I do know that there are several maps in the making, including one of my own.
Sometimes commander needs an engi to patch-up some buildings but if he says or writes it and says its uber urgent, too many people switch to tech and a whole team gets imbalanced.
Maybe there should be a second counter in the "select class", that shows how many of the class are desired/needed right now (in addition to those shown, that are already selected).
On the Com-Side: there might be an "ordering" line, where, he sees how many people are in the specific class and then might change + or -
The perfect solution would be: click + engi then right click on the broken building, so the next person, who switches to tech, automatically sees where to go/what to do.
(like in age of empires, ordering spawning villagers to gather wood directly).
I hope You get what I mean.
I agree that the com shouldnt be able to force players to switch that would be a bit crappy, but maybe a nominate player for roll X would work.
