Mirror's Edge
Crashing problem.
As soon as I clck play my screen will go black then a white window will open on about 75% of my screen and my computer will tell me Mirror's Edge has stopped working and needs to close. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have the same problem, If anyone could help on this that would be great. I've done numerous things to try and solve this with no luck so far.
I used to have this same problem a long time ago when I first tried to play this game. I wasn't very savvy with PC's and software at the time, so I simply gave up and uninstalled it. When I ran it again a few weeks ago it worked flawlessly, however I have a much better understanding nowadays of games and what they require to work.

What I would suggest doing first is manually (re)installing all of the (driver) components the game needs to start and run at the most basic level:

1. graphics driver - AMD, Nvidia or Intel depending on your graphics card. If you have a desktop PC with a dedicated graphics card, you need to visit the website of the manufacturer directly and download + install the latest non-beta driver. If you already have this driver installed, redownload + reinstall it just in case something screwed up on the previous install. If you have a laptop, you should visit the website of the laptop manufacturer for video drivers - similarly if you are using an onboard graphics card, you may need to visit the website of the motherboard manufacturer to find your correct video drivers.

2. directX 9.0C - while this is supposed to get installed automatically by the redistributable bundled with the game, there is a small chance it may screw up or not run correctly. The best way to make sure DX9 isn't the issue is by downloading + installing DX9 from the latest redistributable manually, which you can get from the Microsoft website here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 (I recommend this instead of the DX9 websetup, because the websetup might not correct any file errors or missing files, whereas the redistributable always will)

3. PhysX - Mirror's Edge requires Nvidia PhysX to be installed, even if you don't have an Nvidia graphics card. While this is another element that is supposed to be installed automatically with the game, sometimes these installers can screw up, or they're just missing / don't run. Hence why, like with the DX9, it's a good idea to make sure you have the latest version installed manually. If you have any Nvidia PhysX installed already (Windows Start Button -> Control Panel -> Program Features) uninstall it first, then go to the Nvidia website and download + install the latest version, available here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.12.1031-driver.html

If none of these 3 steps fix the problem, please report back and we might be able to narrow down the issue further.

I had the same problem: the game tried to start in 1600*1200 and my monitor can't do 1200 pixels vertically (it's 1920*1080) and that's why it crashed!

Open C:\Users\<YourWindowsUsername>\Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config\TdEngine.ini (or similar path, depending on your system specifics) and change ResX and ResY to match your screen resolution. If you have the same issue I had, that should do the trick! :)
i tried changing resolution and moved the physXloader to binaries too but it dont works! plzz help me!
