"Internal Application Error" when I try to link my account

Just rebought spore and I dug up an old orgin account to play it however whenever I attempt to link my accounts, I get a internal application error. Any known fixes?

make sure you launch the original spore and that your account wroks on spore.com that took away that message for me. But now i'm getting an login error that the servers can't be reached

You need to register the game using the serial codes steam gives you on https://account.origin.com/cp-ui/redemption/index

Doing through Origin client does not work

Yeah now its saying that the servers couldn't be reached after registering spore.

Fixed it! You just have to then create a spore name at the buttom.
