DRM on the Origin version
It's very cheap right now on Origin, besides the obvious nuisance that Origin is, there any additional DRM on there?

Yes, it still has SecureROM on both the Origin and Steam versions, making it about the only game with outside DRM that's still on Steam.

Hundreds, if not thousands of Steam games have additional DRM on them.

And it's "SecuROM"

The origin version of this game DOES NOT HAVE SECUROM. It uses a specially modified version that uses your origin login details to activate.

This is not correct.
SecuROM is very much a part of Crysis. The Origin download utilises the Online Activation limit of SecuROM restricting the number of installations per license to 50

But if it does use securom, it should create files on my computer. Which have i not found yet. I have securom installed for borderlands goty, and no new files have been created in the securom directories

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. You are not looking correctly/thoroughly.

You need to ensure that you have access to HIDDEN and SUPERHIDDEN directory structure within Windows.

CTRL+R
%APPDATA%/Securom/UserData/

Check the Modified By time on files in this directory. If you are willing, delete the files

Run Crysis

re-check the time/date settings on the files - you will see how they are created when the program is run.

Ohh there they are. I was looking in c://program data/securom. Thats where the borderlands goty securom files are stored. And what about registry keys?
