Why even have a character creator?

I don't get it. We start with our character having put a witch out of their misery, without any background told to us. Our character's morality is forced upon us from the start when we don't even know anything from the setting. We only get to know basically that religion be bad and our lvl 1 adventurer is somehow valuable to the evil person eviling his evil deeds and telling us to be a good boi/girl and behave.

This concept is achient.... choosing whether character in said story is boy/girl is for your own option.

I understood the guy above just fine. He misspelled ancient, obviously. The main character in the story is voiced so having a character creator is a bonus. This is just whining just to whine. If you like don't like the narrative being told then nothing anyone tells you is going to fix your problem. Take the L and move on.
