As for the actual review itself!:
This game only lasts around 30 minutes, and consists solely of choosing one of two options, repeatedly.

There's a fundamental flaw in the game design, as it encourages you to answer honestly... but then notes that by specifically choosing less common answers, you'll get a higher score, and high scorers may win a prize. The concept goes against itself!

After every question, it lets you know how many points you scored for that answer based on how common it was. These seem like they're pulled out of thin air, and the point values often appeared to switch back and forth while the game asks the same basic question twice in a row. It'll be something like...

"Do you prefer cold weather?" "Yes" "Uncommon answer! 2 points!"
"Do you prefer hot weather?" "No" "Common answer! 1 point!"

It's a little baffling because anyone answering normally would end up with three points either way.

Late in the quiz, there's a brief fleeting glimpse of personality through flavour text instead of just endless questions, but it comes far too late and isn't enough to carry the game.

My thoughts after the game ended was that it was basically being quizzed by Richard Herring's emergency interview questions but without the fun chat in between, followed by a double whammy of advertising for you to buy the next episode alongside their next RPG project.

With more flavour text, character, player feedback, and creative visual surprises, this could be a fun concept for a game, but as it stands it primarily feels like a long sequence of...
"Yes or no?" "Yes" "2 points."
"Yes or no?" "No" "1 point."
"Yes or no?" "Yes" "2 points."
"Yes or no?" "No" "Arbitrary bonus points! 3 points."
"Yes or no?" "Yes" "2 points."

I think it's fun answering questions, reminds me of the old quizzes from old internet days! More Halloween sale fun!

As always, I greatly enjoy your works and refresh your developer page every few days until a new game comes out. This one was quite interesting because at first it seemed a complete deviation from the usual formula. A simple point system, based solely on which answer you chose, instead of the "multiple factors" that you usually judge the answers on such as time spent on each question and so on, however looking at the comments already here I can see that the secret word is still based on the normal factors as it has been for each game so far, while the point system is likely based on exactly what it says it was. (I didn't go through and tally them up to make sure they add up correctly, I'm trusting you on this).

As for this game having a goal, based on at least one of the comments below and my own experience, I feel like the actual goal of MATCHING Granny's score goes counter-intuitive to our inherent need as gamers to see big numbers get bigger on the screen. Even now the temptation to go back and change all my answers to get the highest score possible is nagging at me, and I feel like that may cause some unnecessary struggles within the player about which answers to choose to go for the higher numbers or choose the more honest choice, which may cause them to get a different secret word than they normally would have due to this hesitation (unless this was by design, I trust you guys implicitly at this point lol.)

On the topic of point values, I'd be very curious to know where you got your common vs uncommon decisions from, whether an internal poll as well as family and friends, based on past decisions from the players of your other games, or from a university or some sort of public poll as some of the "common" answers seemed odd, especially in the last section. Some of the questions pertaining to happiness and one's own self-image seemed completely contrary to each other on what was common vs uncommon, unless both answers were sometimes uncommon and sometimes common. Another note about the point scores is that there were times where you start answering and you get 5 to 10 to 20 "common" answers in a row which may cause the player to begin to feel negatively, as if they are just "common", "replaceable", or "worthless". The dopamine hit from getting an uncommon after a streak like that is quite nice, but I'm not sure if it is enough to overcome the negative feelings from before. Obviously this is dependent on the players mood and mental state at the time, but based on the "common" answers in the last category it seems to paint a bleak outlook. One way to mitigate this might be to not put common/uncommon at all and just put the point values, or to break up the long streaks of that occurring, maybe every few questions, trick the player and make the options only have an uncommon/rare option instead of common/uncommon with a few common/rare questions every now and then to keep them from catching on. If the player chooses the normally "common" answer but sees "uncommon", it can trigger a small amount of that dopamine hit, likewise if they suddenly see "Rare" pop up, it'll trigger a larger response. Likewise for the last section when answering "Common bonus" and "Common Ultra bonus", even though it was a lot of points, it was still in the white text most RPG players associate with the bottom level gear and items. Alternatively to really make those feel special you could change them to purple "Ultra Rare", orange "Legendary", or red "Mythic" text that RPG players might associate with the highest level of items and gear. You wouldn't need to change any values or really have it be a "legendarily rare" response as most people would just associate it with the games humor and the larger number of points. I mention RPG players specifically because I had to guess, I would say the type of people that enjoy and play these games the most are most likely some sort of RPG players. That may be me projecting but "Choices Matter" alone as a tag is likely enough to draw in several RPG fans.

As for the humor and questions, per usual, you made me laugh out loud at least once, even without resorting to the ol' nun kick. And as always, you came up with at least one new question that made me stop and ponder it for far too long and really reflect on my life and what I'm doing with it. If for nothing else, I will always play your games just to have those moments again, for a new hypothetical situation that I have yet to think of, and for ones I've thought of but have forgotten the answer to. As always, thank you for the experience and I look forward to every new release you have on the way.

This was one of the first games from Randumb Studios since The Test series where the answers felt fresher, new, and more engaging. 4/10

I thought the game was trolling but I actually got the number "420" and the secret word "Blessed"

This was a cute game that had me both scratching my head in bewilderment and laughing at ridiculous scenarios. My secret word ended up being sexy.
