AMD Starfield bundle and Ukraine in terrorist and sanctioned countries list

❗Шановні, читайте весь пост перед коментуванням. Проблема вирішена майже повністю.

✅ Останній апдейт, та вирішення всіх питань. Сем відповів на форумі на остеннє питання. Всі хто купував у ваторизованих ритейлерів продукти по акції можуть вільно отримати свої копії гри підтвердивши покупку чеком. Врешті гра вже випустилась, але акція триває. Тому варто оновити тему. Ось текст відповіді що до тих хто купував з 11-го до оновлення політики акції. Оригінал по посиланню нижче на форум комюніті.

Customers who purchased an eligible CPU or GPU from participating retailers in Ukraine from July 11th are eligible for a Starfield code.

Moreover, customers should reach out to the retailer with a copy of their proof of purchase (invoice/receipt) first, and if needed they can submit a claim at www.amdrewards.com/support along with their proof of purchase.

The participating retailers in Ukraine are Telemart.ua and Click.ua. Brain.ua, another participating retailer, will be added to the page shortly.

As we know from news about AMD and Starfield collaboration they added game bundle for middle and top grade products of AMD. I've asked why AMD skipped Ukraine in the list of retailers that involved. But, in couple of answers of support team I was surprised by answer that Ukraine in the Terms and Conditions of this promo in the list of terrorist and sanctioned countries. Yes, in one list with Russia, Iran and North Korea.

So, what community think about it, and also want to here opinion of developers about this situation.

UPD: We have AMD distributor, and active market of hardware and software. Asus, Sony and other companies work as before war. So war is not an issue for gaming market in Ukraine. It decreased little bit, but still active as was before.

And yes, I've purchased Asus 6700xt dual last days. In official store, all as usual. So we can buy AMD products, we can buy Starfield in Steam, but with updated AMD terms we can't get the bundle.

I have money to by this game. But I can't imagine why I need to do it, when rest of world will get it with the same graphics card as I've purchased during promo. And I'm really angry because of Ukraine in the list of sanctioned countries.

Українською в двох словах: нас додали в перелік країн терористів та підсанкційних країн поруч з країною що веде загарбницьку війну в Україні, Іраном що постачає мопеди терористам та Північною Кореєю. Саме тому купивши продукти AMD ви не отримаєте гру в Україні як решта світу.

UPD2: 🎉 So, at least terms about Starfield already updated. There still one from q2 2023, but let's wait for official answer from AMD. I think they agree that it was a mistake.

Політику Старфілд оновлено після того як новину підхопили медіа. Що ж, чекаємо що на це відповість AMD у відповідях на запити. Але маю констатувати що прикра помилка буде якось вирішена.

UPD3: Вирішено. Відповідь на останнє питання з поясненнями хто може отримати бандл з тих хто купив відповідні товари починаючи з 11-го числа на початку теми.

Well, that’s weird, because Telemart is still an official Ukrainian retailer on AMD site. So, they are selling their products here without any concerns, but we are still under some kind of sanctions? Nice.

They send game codes via email. I've ordered a new GPU a week ago from American store and received the game code in email. We have internet even in occupied parts of Ukraine. There is no problem to send a simple email. I believe some manager in AMD that is responsible for this promo have pro-Russian views.

I think it's weird. Ukraine has no economical sanctions from US/EU like Russia, North Korea, PRC and other.

I hope the AMD company will lose a lot of its value for this terrible mistake
