Experience multipliers

The experience multipliers for the game settings. Do they count for everything or just for eliminating opponents?

I'm on my second playthrough and have only just discovered this ^^

Should apply to all xp gains

Not sure if it has been fixed lately, but there used to be a bug after going NG+ with modifiers not applying. To fix it, change difficulty settings once and revert (modifiers work work again until you go to the next Ng+. Simply repeat that step every NG+).

I can't speak to NG+ as I haven't done that in ages. However in the normal game the XP bonus applies to quests. Example: Both Well mission; eavesdrop on the two idiots planning to rob the UC Surplus and getting the doctors notes earn 50 XP by default and with +75%, they jump up to 87 XP. All missions gain extra XP, I could only remember these 2 specific amounts.
