Why Starfield is a Failure

Starfield's descent into wokeness marks its downfall. What was once a highly anticipated space epic has turned into a showcase of unlimited gay and sexually ambiguous characters, pushing a narrative that feels more like a social experiment than a game. The option to create trans characters or select 'They/Them' pronouns in character creation is less about player freedom and more about ticking off inclusivity boxes.

The game's quests and dialogues are so watered down, they're inoffensive to the point of blandness. The fear of stepping on any toes has sucked the life out of what could have been thrilling, edge-of-your-seat storytelling. It's like walking on eggshells in a universe that should be wild and unexplored.

Traditionally masculine NPCs with virtues like bravery, leadership, and strength are conspicuously absent, replaced with an overabundance of 'girl boss' types. This skew towards over-empowered female characters isn't just unrealistic; it's unbalanced, creating a one-dimensional world that lacks depth and variety.

Starfield's attempt to be woke has backfired, alienating a large portion of its fan base who simply wanted a great game, not a lecture on social politics. The result? A game that's lost its soul in the quest to be politically correct, leaving players longing for the days when gaming was about adventure and escapism, not social agendas.

Your explanation doesnt hold up. BG3 has a generous sprinkling of woke trash, but people also really enjoy the gameplay. Starfield failed because its a boring empty procedurally generated husk.

A good game may get away with flaunting some woke feathers, a bad one will not.

You should see what Bethesda has turned the Fallout franchise into with Fallout 76...
It's pure tragicomedy. Fallout 76 is marked as a survival post-apocalyptic game on Steam. Over time, the game has been watered down so much that it no longer has any survival elements, it's just a stupid looter shooter where it's almost impossible to die. You kill a ghoul and automatically find 10 pieces of 40mm grenades in his pocket because you use such a weapon (grenade launcher). I kid you not.

There isn't even a day/night cycle anymore because GenZ players complained that they "can't see at night". It's eternal day. And now every new player who starts playing Fallout 76 starts not as level 1, but as level 20. Yes, that's right. As soon as you start the game, you are immediately level 20. Hahahaha... You are still hyped for Fallout 5?

Oh, yes, and for more then 2 years now I have a constant notification about gay flags bundle in Fallout 76 waiting for me to be "claimed" so that I can put those flags at my camp. Every time I log in F76, I see that notification and I can't remove it or reject the offer. So unless I claim gay flags bundle, that notification will be forever. I already have more then 10 different gay icons that I "claimed" over time, not because that I wanted, but because it was the only way to remove notification about them. And then came this gay flags bundle, but enough is enough. I deinstalled the game and don't have any desire to play it ever again. Not just because of that gay bundle, but because F76 is a travesty of Fallout franchise.
