Sarah Morgan is now available as my companion ?
So i just funished the funeral of Sarah Morgan and left the lodge. The game then told me, Sarah Morgan was now available as my companion. wth ?
In addition, Andreja - who was my companion until then - seems not being able to follow me any longer. I can ask her to but she doesn´t answer to this option.
Anything i might have missed ?

Had the exact same issue, after attending the funeral of my ex-wife with my new bride Andreja, there was a notification about Sarah being available and Andreja won't answer me when I request her to come along.

Sarah also appears in my crew list as being at the Eye, but of course she's nowhere to be found there and I can't assign her to my crew or outposts.

No solution found on my end, so went NG+ .
An infinite number of Sarah and Andreja are waiting to get stuck in some way by my side ;)

Same here for me! Available as companion and in my crew list after her death. And now I got further in the Main Questline and should talk to everybody from the Lodge and also to Sarah! Quest Marker leads to her room, which is of course empty......

Sounds like you´re stuck ?
I´ve now started the Nishina Quest to collect another artifact and wonder: Did you have to reload an older save or were you able to progress ? I´d like to know before shifting through reality endless number of times just to redo it all later :)

Ah Nevermind, the "talk to your friends" thing was optional at the end. No need to reload.

Yes it's optional. But it bothers me that this will now show up forever in my questlog probably :D

You can fix this by asking Vasco specifically to follow you :steamhappy:

I also had this issue with Andreja. For some reason after the funeral it made Sarah my companion, who we just had the funeral for. Can vouch for the vasco tactic working

Thanks for the Vasco solution! I've tried reloading save and doing stuff bit differently during service, but it didn't help. Luckily Vasco joined me, then I went back to Andreja and that worked as a charm

I broke up with Sarah then she got killed by the Hunter on the Eye, I went to Sarah's funeral and then immediately after married Andreja, no issues arose.

As I understand it, interacting with the portrait at the funeral begins some sort of remembrance quest. You basically have their ghost as a companion until you specifically change it up.

I did that, interact with the photo but never got a quest. Maybe because I dumped her shortly before she got wacked.

Assigning Vasco as my companion worked too.
But first, I had to unassign someone from my ship (as it was full), assign Vasco to my ship, go outside my ship (at New Atlantis) and talk to Vasco to make him my Companion. Then I spoke to Andreja who was in the Lodge and made her my companion (I wanted her).

Because When I spoke to Vasco at the Lodge immediately after the funeral, I jad no option to make him my companion
