Starfield is Woke
As an avid fan of Bethesda Game Studios, my excitement for Starfield was palpable. Having thoroughly enjoyed titles like Fallout 3, Skyrim, and Fallout 4, my expectations were high, and I pre-ordered the premium edition for early access, eager to immerse myself in a new open-world adventure.

The initial hour of gameplay was filled with a sense of familiarity. The mechanics, the immersive environment, and the interactions with NPCs transported me back to the feeling of past Bethesda titles. I spent a considerable amount of time navigating character creation, pondering over my character's background, appearance, and traits, anticipating a thrilling journey ahead.

However, my enthusiasm took a disappointing turn as I reached the end of the character creation process and was presented with an unexpected addition: the selection of pronouns. It was disheartening to see that Starfield, a game I had eagerly anticipated, had incorporated woke elements that detracted from the immersive experience. While I believe in diversity and inclusion, I also believe that a game's primary focus should be on delivering an enjoyable experience, rather than political pandering.

As a long-time supporter of the studio, I have invested countless hours into their games, which is evident from my Steam profile. I was looking forward to adding more hours to that collection with Starfield, but my enthusiasm waned upon encountering this new direction. The game's narrative and mechanics are what have always drawn me in, not its alignment with certain political viewpoints.

Regrettably, I found myself questioning whether I should continue playing the game. It's evident that the inclusion of woke elements has the potential to disrupt the immersive and escapist experience that has been a hallmark of Bethesda's games. With my gameplay time still well within the two-hour refund threshold on Steam, I'm at a crossroads. Should I persevere, hoping that the game's storytelling and mechanics will overshadow these concerns? Or should I exercise my option to refund, in light of the deviation from the traditional Bethesda experience that I hold dear?

I'm keen to hear your thoughts and perspectives. For fellow fans who have embarked on their Starfield journey, do you share my concerns, or do you feel that the game still has much to offer? Is it worth overlooking the inclusion of woke elements in favor of the overall gameplay? Your input and insights will greatly influence my decision—whether to continue exploring the cosmos of Starfield or to step back in hopes of finding a gaming experience that resonates more closely with the traditional spirit of Bethesda Game Studios.

Did you get made fun of too much on the other thread or you're just creating the same pathetic rant over and over again?

And yes, you should refund it. Then give up on ever enjoying one of this companies games again. And less and less games overall, until your being an easily triggered nancy has completely ruined gaming for you.
God these threads are priceless.

Having man or woman options is offensive now. just the times we live in
I ain't readin all that
The only saving grace is that you can probably eventually mod it all out.

Just have to go around nexusmods thought policing.

Absolute shambles of a game currently though. Glad I got it on CDKeys at least.

About to head out into space and the idea of minimal consideration for other people caused you to stop. You're not ready for the greater cosmos.

when you use 'Woke' do you mean people who get offended easily?

Because you've just got offended easily and spat your dummy out. so with that logic, isn't everyone on the planet 'woke'?

"I went into the character creator when I found - to my horror - options. What should I do? Should I continue playing the game? For now, I shall write a 6-paragraph essay about this traumatic experience on the Steam forums."
