Dear developers, explain to me WHY buy a regular edition if the game comes out without protection?

I will explain my logic.
The premium edition will be available on September 1. If the game does not have DRM protection, then on the SAME DAY it will appear on pirated torrents!!!!! That is, people who BOUGHT a standard edition will be able to play 5 days later than pirates???!!!

In any case, I bought myself a premium edition, such games are released too rarely, in order to save on them)

Having DRM gives pirates an "excuse" to pirate.
With DRM being removed, pirates have to settle with the fact that they are doing so because they are selfish, poor, freeloaders - Whatever other label you wish to give them, and they don't like it.

just because it wont have denuvo that dont mean it wont have drm of anysorts

Most people who torrent would not have bought the game anyway. This can be due to not having the money or they are not really into the game and just want to try it. BG3 had no protection and look how well that game did.

So you basically want a game infested with DRM? It's been said time and time again but the people who will pirate the game would of never bought the game in the first place or even are capable of buying it, let's just say a person I knew hint hint use to pirate games all the time because they were not capable of buying them because of being laid off well after they found a new job they started buying games again instead of getting it for free why? No worries about getting any kind of infestation, no hassle, cloud saves, being able to DL the game if you delete it instead of scouring and hoping to find peers to dl it again at very very slow speed, supporting the devs, multiplayer features, and there is so much more.

But let me ask you this you could go to the store and steal batteries or candy or a steak and most likely get away with it 99.9 percent of the time and the consequences are nothing, but why do you pay for it instead of stealing?
