My gpu is an RX580
My cpu is a Ryzen 2600 / 6 Core
32GB is excellent and more than enough.
RX580 is a solid mid-range GPU, but it may struggle with the most demanding settings and large, complex scenes in UE5.
CPU is decent for gaming but, along with the RX580, might face challenges in very demanding scenarios.
The game not being on an SSD is likely the primary bottleneck. Asset streaming requires fast read/write speeds, and an HDD can significantly slow this down.
My suggestion is to move the game to an SSD if at all possible. If not, try going old school and avoiding any and all multitasking, closing all browser windows and unnecessary apps, etc.
I hope youre able to figure something out and enjoy the game. Let us know if there's anything else we can do.
A. a historical autosave system
B. a very clear unstuck button (im pretty sure this was in the Myst remake, Firmament and Obduction)
C. nodes to travel between to allow the game to be played in point&click (which should be in the game by default), with the ability to transfer between them
These are just my takes! You could always just add brushes towards the edges of the map that teleport you to a safe location relative to where youd be there! Regardless, the issue is unacceptable.
I am on a mid tier system with a good NVME drive, and I have had none of these issues. Honestly get a NVME drive like the Samsung 980 Pro and the game will run fine, don't and you can throw and i9 and 4090 at this and will not.
Just no games out this year work well or at all on HDs since Win 11 came out with direct storage that lets your SSD directly to the video card, bypassing the CPU + Ram.
Here is a solution for you:
Upload your save file to (follow the steps on the page below):
https://thefloydman.github.io/saveswapper/
Make sure to backup your save files.
Replace player position with e.g the starting position in the game:
X: 2620,75230318316
Y: 2058,9984001653675
Z: 1724,5021424402405
Save/Download the file and overwrite your current one.
Load the game and you should be good to go.
If you want to find your own cordinates just start a new game or get a save file from a friend and get upload it and take the cordinates from there.
Best of luck
I have WD Black nVME and have encountered an unloaded area. So it's definitely a game issue.
