Game will not start
When I launch the game I immediately get 3 separate errors:

1) Could not create heap for ring buffer (0x8007000e)
2) Frameloader: could not allocate upload ringbuffer
3) Could not initialize frame loader. (-3)

Hi the bugster1

Sorry to hear you couldn’t get ImmersiX to start.

Could you provide us with some more information about the hardware of your machine? Thank you!

Hi thebugster1,

Thanks for sharing this information with us!

We have reviewed this, and to best help you with this issue could you please share your 'GPU Memory', 'Dedicated GPU memory' and 'Shared GPU memory' information found in the 'Performance' tab of Task Manager.

This will help us get to the bottom of the problem.

Thank you!

Hi again,

Thank you for sharing all this info!

From what we can see, it seems that it may be that there is not enough shared GPU to go around, as ImmersiX requires quite a lot at this moment. It might help to close down as many other programs as possible before launching.

For a more targeted approach you can go to the details tab of task manager and sort by Shared GPU memory usage (you may need to add the column if it is not already there).
Also, please make sure that you are using the Meta Link OpenXR directly, and not from SteamVR (for more information you can have a look here:

https://docs.v-nova.com/immersix/getting-started#set-up-meta-quest-link-application), as well as have turned on “Allow unknown sources”.

Let us know if this has helped!

Cheers,

Yana from V-Nova Studios

Thank you. I made sure everything was closed except Steam. There was also a small update to the game I installed. I launched the game and it started just fine. I can watch the Intro and Construct. It was VERY cool! I can't wait until more content comes out. I did have times when there was a lot going on in the screen my video would freeze for a second or two trying to load. My CPU was at 100% the entire time whereas my RAM and GPU memory were not maxed out. I may have to upgrade my CPU to have better performance.

As a side note I'm not on Meta Quest. I'm on the Valve Index so I launched straight from Steam and it worked like a charm.

Thank you for you help!
