Very interested in what the MSI Claw and OneXPlayer improvements are...
MSI claw A1M SteamOS 3.8.25 WiFi is not available:steamsad:
it would be nice if you guys could fix skyrim graphics are pixelated and not in full screen even if prompted, steam store not working properly when purchasing games. and its not working when you turn the steam machine on, the CEC thing where the tv volume can be altered or turned on and off with the steam machine.
Im finding this version crashes my whole pc when running games. Had to roll back to 3.8.24 to be able to play games again
Since this update I am seeing a yellow exclamation mark by my battery icon while plugged into the official dock powered by the official AC adapter. Is this a new bug? I have never seen this before.
Ayaneo Pocket S2 gamepad support? =O
What does it mean actually?
Since installing this beta update on my Steam Machine, the console goes to sleep and doesn't immediately wake up anymore, but now my Sony Bravia TV doesn't go to sleep when the console does anymore.
Honestly, this beta doesn’t sound very appealing to me right now. If there’s already a known performance degradation in situations where composition is required, especially with FSR enabled, I’d rather stay on the stable channel for the time being.

It’s good that Valve is aware of the issue and that the fix is already available in SteamOS 3.8.16 stable, but I don’t really see a reason to trade stability and performance for beta features unless there’s something specific in this update that I really need.

For me, stable and reliable performance is more important than getting new features a little earlier. I’ll probably wait until this issue is fixed in the beta before switching back.

I'm still waiting for the Arch snapshot to be refreshed. When are we getting a new Plasma version in Main?

Last I checked on both Arch and Fedora, latest stable of Plasma broke Steam Input entirely, so I hope they can avoid merging in that bug. I believe some beta versions of Plasma (like the one used in the "KDE Linux" distro) have it fixed but for some reason it hasn't been backported yet. I had to quick set up Sway on my HTPC to get games playable again.
does the known issue affect in-gsme FSR or only SteamOS level FSR?
In Desktop mode when using full screen in games or full screen video playback in browsers the screen freezes after 5 seconds, while the sound continues. I had this issue since this update on the Steam Machine.
There is a workaround to fix it, and I would like to thank the person who provided it first.
I hope it will be fixed with a official patch soon for everyone.

- click on Dolphin File Manager in the taskbar (looks like a folder)
- In the top above the icons you have place to type in the path, click on that and remove the current path and type /etc/environment followed by enter
- It will open a text editor with text that looks like this :

#
# This file is parsed by pam_env module
#
# Syntax: simple "KEY=VAL" pairs on separate lines
#

- Add the line KWIN_DRM_NO_DIRECT_SCANOUT=1 below that text so it looks like this :

#
# This file is parsed by pam_env module
#
# Syntax: simple "KEY=VAL" pairs on separate lines
#
KWIN_DRM_NO_DIRECT_SCANOUT=1

- Go to File and Save in the text editor
- Restart the machine and test it with a YouTube video or game in full screen
There's issue when watching youtube video on fullscreen with this patch on my desktop PC, the video suddenly stop randomly and become bright. Turning off hardware acceleration on browser fix the problem, seems not OS problem i know but never experience it before this beta.

Doing comment above not fixing this issue for me. Edit: it works after hard shutdown not only restarting, only freeze once on first 10 second of youtube video without suddenly got bright after that the video is fine

Well that didn't take long to materialize. Main is now refreshed.
