is it just me or do people's background on desktop mode always end up switching to the default for no reason after awhile. after putting a custom one

I wish Valve would fix the issues/bugs where the brightness controls disappear when switching from Steam to Desktop and back. Also when the screen goes to full brightness when plugging in the AC power after using battery power. Its very frustrating.

After some OS updates, but none of the recent ones for me. Not just wallpaper, other customizations like icon arrangement. Basically resets desktop to default.

Please fix the external touchscreen rotates input. It's been the same for almost a year since the 3.5 update.
It was fine before version 3.5. it's not a difficult problem.

When are we going to get support for the Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers back paddles over bluetooth? The paddles work when plugged in by usb but not bluetooth.

its a big ask but all the supreme commander games will not work on steam deck the installer the game uses from the steam store is incompatible

Back paddles work for me over Bluetooth. Might be a controller firmware issue, look it up. Does yours not work after reboot? Have to power cycle or disconnect controller and reconnect to fix it. Every boot up, kinda annoying, been happening since 3.6.19

Why is nvidia so bad

seriously? your last updates have turned almost every game into a stutter fest and/or post 40 min game launch memory leak with stuttering and EVERYONE has been complaining...youd think thisd be priority hurry up im entitled.

This client version seems to be completely botched on my Steam Deck.
Woke it up from sleep mode and tried starting a game, crashed immediately so I tried starting the game again to much of the same.

Backed out to the (game mode) client's "main menu" and after a couple seconds it started flashing white and glitched out the UI. Shortly after the client seemingly restarted itself because it played the start-up animation, and then the UI started glitching around again. Managed to open the power menu and enter desktop mode, where the client straight up refuses to start.

Goes as far as verifying files, then immediately closes itself. Looked through the logs I could find in ~/.local/share/Steam/logs but didn't find anything pertaining to the crash.

I then tried moving the ~/.steam and ~/.local/share/Steam directories elsewhere to see if the client would reinstall itself and work properly the next time I run it.

Seems to have reinstalled itself successfully after starting it with the desktop shortcut but is now back to closing itself after verifying files so my only remaining guess is that this client version is broken.

512GB LCD model if it matters.

Any thoughts or ideas?
