Steam Deck Shipping and Delivery Time June 2024 Updated

For those who wants to buy or just bought a new Steam Deck, this post is for you. If you are an anxious person and are about to buy your new Steam Deck and want to check how long it will take to arrive, you might be in the right place. I've searched for discussions on Steam forums, X, and other forums about updated shipping times for Canada in June 2024, but I couldn't find any recent good information. Most topics were created during the initial release, so I decided to share my detailed timeframe here to give you an idea of when your Steam Deck is supposed to arrive. This is based on my personal experience. Feel free to contribute by sharing your own timeframe!

Delivery Address: Kanata, Ontario - Canada
Model: Steam Deck 1TB OLED
Dates and Times:

• Purchase: June 7th (Friday), 3:52 am (2:52 am EST)
  
• "Thank you for your Steam Purchase!" email: June 7th (Friday), 3:53 am (2:53 am EST)
  
  
• Shipping Status: Processed payment
  Notes: "Our distributor has hit a processing backlog for orders to Canada. We are actively working through the issue and will ship your order as soon as we can. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order ships."
  Note: In a Reddit topic, a user named LTame mentioned, "This message has been there since the original launch and they just forgot to remove it. It's hardcoded on the page for years now.". Might be true, because I haven't experienced any delay.

  Status changed between: June 8th (Saturday), 11:00 pm (10:00 pm EST) and June 9th (Sunday), 2:16 pm (1:16 pm EST)
  Note: No email received during the status change.
  
  
• Shipping Status: Picked up by carrier and Shipped
  Status changed at the same time: June 11th (Tuesday), 4:00 pm (3:00 pm EST)
  Package origin: Illinois, US
  
  
• Shipping Status: Delivered
  Date and Time: June 13th (Thursday), 2:18 pm (1:18 pm EST)
  Expected delivery window: Between 10:20 am to 2:20 pm.

I know this is an old subject and maybe no one talk about it anymore, but one week ago I tried to find an updated topic like this and I couldn't, so I'm posting it for anyone still anxious about it. Hope this is helpful for you and this can calm you down, especially when you bought and was welcomed with the backlog message!

UPDATE AUGUST 2024

I bought the Steam Deck Docking Station on August 21st, and I received it the following Monday, on the 26th. The delivery time was still within the expected 3-5 business days!

09-23-2024: picked up by carrier & shipped with tracking number around 10AM today. no expected delivery date yet

09-25-2024: steam deck arrived slightly after 12PM

Ordered the 512gb LCD on Sept. 16th, shipped the next day. As of today Sept. 19th, GLS says "in transit" (north of Italy is the delivery address).

Bigger issue here in Europe, total scam from valve side, payed for 512 oled version on 23rd oct, they took money two weeks ago, next day they updated tracking number but ever since all I'm getting is stupid generic responses from support and still stuck at tracking number that says "parcel not handed over to courier" .... Shame Valve... They refuse to refund me and told me to refuse package upon delivery yet they have no answer why it didn't left their warehouse yet. Retarded!!!!

my experience. In December 2024 is as follows.I ordered my 256 LCD on my birthday December 5th. Payment made at 4:30pm Thursday December 5th (it cleared the bank instantly). Purchase email sent December 6th. Packaged on the 9th. Label created at midnight on the 10th. Left ups in California at 5pm on the 10th. Estimated delivery 12/16/24.... Next expected ups update 12/13/24. Using the 3-5 business days it should be here no later than the 13th.

I live an hour from Boise Idaho. So ups is saying it takes almost a week to go from Cali to Boise (fastest delivery route) or from Cali to Portland to my house (longest route). Either way seems like a really slow trucking route. Not Valve's fault for sure

I'm waiting for my steam deck to still ship. Ordered the 512gb LCD on December 1st and it still doesn't have a shipping label created. Chances are I probably won't get this before Xmas now. Not very impressed tbh
