The very sudden shift to pro-gen AI propaganda was so jarring I genuinely cannot put it into words. I feel so bad for the devs who had to make a game with a story that promotes their replacement with generative AI.

XD, considering the PODS lasted 20 years, i doubt GBBBB will die, ESPECIALLY sense you can bring your own gunpla into the game and get new parts FROM the game.

Or you know he can strike a deal like that person who crack denouvo game, since you know most people though it a bug.
Maybe they will rehire him as event planner and treat that incident as end of BETA test event.

AGAIN, GB universe isn't like our "AI" which, btw, isn't AI. I highly suggest looking for a playthrough of GB3 Breaker edition, cause we have AI like Robota and Info-Chan which are VERY personable and are basically people already. Not only that, they'll have Actual Mobile Suits in 10 Years that are sold as basically cars for traveling around in space. I am not joking, the ending of GB3 takes place in 30 years in the future and has space colonies and MOBILE SUITS. The fact that AI that hit the singularity or is very close to that is NOT that far off. Remember, GB4 takes place 20 years after GB3 so they are ULTRA advanced.

also, again, don't compair OUR "AI" to the AI in GB4. our "AI" is not AI.

Hell in GB4 alone Reco exists, and she is indistinguishable from an actual person.

Chaos is such a terribly written strawman with no connection to the setting that I can't really see him as anything but a lazy executive's demand. He absolutely does not have a point within the Breaker setting, and you're not going to give him a point in the world he exists in, why pretend he has a point outside of being a big dumb guy to beat up?

which is weird since you would have thought that the antagonist would KNOW that, but he defined the AI like how our AI is right now, as a programmer he SHOULD have known better since its so far in the future.

Still feels kinda a plot issue tbh considering the above. made me think twice that MAYBE we should join him. But yeah dont care much about plot we just want to MECHA GO BRRRRR

They weren't thinking about the plot from GB3. It was just a writing requirement to have GB3/Mobile characters appear. in the game.

Man, moving the goal posts huh...ok...they have the ability to Perfectly scan a gunpla and be able to play it in their game while ALSO giving you Parts. not only that, the game also has feedback so your gunpla can take actual damage. i'm sorry, but, we're NO WHERE near this level of tech, so no, even if they didn't take in account of GB3's plot, it doesn't change the capabilities nor High level of Technology this universe has that's leaps and bounds ahead of us. Chaos's argument, even in the vacuum of GB4's plot, doesn't hold any water.

That's a Builders thing as far as I know, Breaker is in-universe a video game in every edition. Except maybe New, but I haven't seen any sign of New's setting being allowed to associate with mainline Breaker and I really hope I don't. Lin Carnation is the only exception we've seen, unless Break Dias and Hyaku Shiki J physically exist outside of Breaker.

I really did find Chaos to be the most likeable character in terms of backstory and development (and Gunpla) out of everyone. I'd be pretty livid too if something I was super passionate about that I saw more of a fun hobby than a job was one day taken away from me by an AI just so the company I worked for could save a few bucks.

All Chaos needed to do was make a mod or private server. Also his idea of good game design is incredibly cheesy. Seriously, 4 dungeon keys with 4 elemental bosses, then another 4 monuments? What is this, a 2000s Bioware game?

I enjoyed it, Each mission interlocking into each other in any order to complete it. don't like how they did Monoliths in GB4 though. Constantly pulling control away from you.
