[Edit]
I found an even easier method, if you only want to change the resolution & none of the graphic tweaks:

basically, go to the /DATA/config folder and
1. open config.pd with a text editor.
2. search for 'backbuffer'
3. change to 2560, 1440, 1920, 1080 (or whatever resolution your card/monitor supports)

I am running this game in NVIDIA 3D Vision and using my HOTAS Joystick for driving. Changed the language pack to Russian (with English subtitles - mod found in the main directory).
This is a typical "Russian" [edit: Ukranian developers]] game, as in technically sound (Eastern European programmers know their 3D math), yet buggy, yet gameplay wise demanding, yet 'broken' in design, but also addictive?
