Audio Ray-Tracing greyed out
Audio Ray-Tracing option is greyed out. Can't enable it. I have RTX2080. Performance is great, almost all graphic options on high, dlss quality. Having 130-144 (i capped it on 144) fps. So optimization is good. But why i can't enable audio ray-tracing? Google it but no avail.

Do i need to install some software like "VP9 Video Extensions" for fix blackscreen cutscenes?

Well, thx for pointing on RTX shadows and reflections. I have it greyed out too. Strange. Definitely rtx2080 supports it. And i definitely played with ray tracing in Cyberpunk, for example.

Installed this version of drivers and still can't enable: https://imgur.com/a/H4lWgwe
Can you elaborate about nv inspector profile?
AethGorr Feb 23, 2023 @ 2:53am
Maybe it's because of Windows version. I have win10 1809 (build 17763.678) and not updated it few years, so pretty old, yeah. There was no need for me. Other games enabled ray tracing no problem.

with inspector you are able to tune settings for games or in general the global driver of nv
also some hidden settings that are not shown in the nv control panel are visible in inspector

you can find it here for download:
https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvidia-profile-inspector-2-4-0-3.425787/

for further informations/explanation you can read some good stuff about the settings here:

https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Nvidia_Profile_Inspector

https://www.xbitlabs.com/nvidia-profile-inspector-settings/

with nv inspector you can select games by just typing in the searchbar and you will get a hit for the game.

there you can e.g. turn on reBar on (if you meet all requirements for it)

also there is a option to turn on or off in general RT globaly or per game

maybe you find there the solution for enabling RT in the profile and ofc ingame afterwards

for further question how to use nv inspector i recommend watching some vids on youtube its faster and easier then explaning here in written form.

gl out there

There's little point in enabling it for the frame times you lose

I was interested in audio raytracing only. Cuz heard many positive reviews about groundbreaking and stunning soundscape. Graphics raytracing lowers fps, indeed.

I am talking about audio. You lose frametimes since it's using hardware on your GPU. Digital Foundry has a video out explaining this very fact.

Same issue with my 2080 super. It's all greyed out. Can't find anything online.
