Turn off auto aim?

I don't really mind auto aim usually, but this one is HORRIBLE. I'll be pointing at a boss, then I start aiming, and it automatically aims so far above their head that I would miss. I then have to fight against the auto aim to make it an actually good shot.
I'm looking in the menus and I don't see a way to turn it off, which seems bizarre. I don't think I've ever seen a game where you couldn't turn off the auto aim, so I'm guessing I'm just blind. Where is the setting?

Didin't even know there was auto aim, just hold rightclick to aim and shoot wherever you want.

Sorry I should have clarified, using a controller. When you hold LT for aim, it automatically follows the enemy extremely well, very hard and forced auto aim.

Tried searching for ya, can't seem to find anything, the only thing i find is that its a feature that for controllers when you aim, that theres a soft-auto-aim. But can't find anything about turning it off.
