I feel sorry for you
learn what clickbait and clout chasers are.
You own the game. You can still play it. It just won't be sold on Steam anymore.
Nintendo and TPCG are attempting to sue for patents, not suing the game as a whole (namely 'ride your monsters' and 'catch in balls'). All PocketPair has to do is either comply and make a few changes or they win and Nintendo leaves them alone.
Steam's stance is "oh hell naw I don't wanna get in trouble" and that's why the game is being taken off their market, not because the lawsuit demands they do.
It's rare to see Steam place a game back on once it's been taken off, but it has happened, it just takes a while. In lieu of steam, and after this lawsuit business, I'd imagine PocketPair may look into a separate launcher so that their game can thrive.
Footnote: I'd also like to mention that since this game was placed and accepted by Microsoft on their store and that they are somewhat involved within this mess too, since it is playable on Xbox One.
And yeah, even IF they managed to take the game down, we own it. Palworld works offline and it's possible to host your own servers. So unless they pull some kind of GIGA SHENANIGANS, the worst they can do is end active development and sales. Which would suck.
This is not true and it's happened before. If they are sued due to legal reasons and are forced to take the game down, you will be refunded and the game will be removed from your library. It's happened before. If a game is not legal then it cannot be sold. However, this depends on whether or not Nintendo wants the game taken down or if they just want $$$$$$
Edit: It also depends on if Nintendo even wins in the first place. My bet is with Nintendo winning though and it's the Japanese courts.
Rumor... i doubt it will shut down. At worst Pocket Pair will owe some money to nintendo for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ patents... and might have to alter some in game mechanics. The game will not go away... this is nintendo being petty.
As always ♥♥♥♥ NINTENDO!
Edit: we know nintendo is suing over a patent, but to be clear we dont know what patent they are suing over. But nintendo has some really crazy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ patents like--- Mounting a creature, and throwing a ball, and encouraging good sleep habits while breeding a virtual creature.
Yea you heard me nintendo has a patent on MOUNTS! once again i'll say it in case you missed it the first time...
♥♥♥♥ NINTENDO!
