OP never replied what a waste of my time.
I don't really know what's going on here, but going on this, I'll stay with Beakon, I guess.
What you pick won't matter, if you have to ask what is best you want people to tell you how to play. Nothing in the game needs any min-maxing.
I don't want to waste my time and materials making a saddle for a mount if there is a far superior one available. I get that you can just use any pal you want, but the reason I spend quite a lot of time looking up the best pals for different things is because I prefer to go in already armed with that knowledge.
my first mount was valwyrm which i bred for speed and which i kept until i could get on faleris (which can be bred with valwyrm).
I already have Faleris, but as I have a fire pal already that I want to take into endgame (Jormuntide Ignis), unless Faleris is significantly better, I might just stick with Beakon for the element variety.
