Running incompatible Verison of the Game
Hey everyone, i have rented a server at 4Netplayers for Palworld and after the recent updates there is no chance to join, because it says that we are running an incompatible version of the game. Does anyone have the same problem or knows how to fix it?

Iam talking about the 4Netplayers Server and not a dedicated Steam server

Server is back online, 4Netplayer updated it

I run my own server from my basement and am getting the same incompatible version error. I believe this means that the dedicated server files haven't been updated to match the client version yet. Hopefully they'll get this resolved today.

Same, I ran an update manually from steamcmd and still getting the error (as of 1015 EST)

So can you load in the game?

update your server, easiest way is to just use your play(client) computer and install the palworld server from tools. On your 2nd machine you don't even need steam installed. copy all the server data from your 2nd machine with your saves to the first comps steam server and update it. Then copy the new server data back to your 2nd computer.

Works fine for me and my buds

I never considered doing it this way. I've run ARK, Rust, Valheim, Conan and never had to go about it this way. It's odd to me that the SteamCMD isn't updating correctly.

Thank you for this tip! This is a great work-around!

The issue is, that server hosts (4netplayers or nitrado etc.) didnt update their server version

^--- this, they need to update the servers and until then you will always get that error. Its the same for every online game, if servers have not been updated and the servers then rebooted/restarted then it will always be a mismatch.
