Is breeding Scorching Eggs bugged?
It doesn't matter how many campfires I put around the Egg Incubator, the only Egg that I can't reach 100% with are the Scorching Eggs. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Because the only thing I get max. is: "Seems just a little cold"

Same thing applies to Rocky Eggs as well - the other Eggs are working just fine.

Yeah I built a furnace room filled with campfires and nothing lol

Where your base is located also impacts it, try incubating them in the desert. Alternatively later in the tech tree you can build heating elements to make your base scorching hot
Turn incubation time to 0, hatch them and set it back, Janky but will work.

Did not know this thanks!
Heating elements are needed, the campfire is not hot enough outside of naturally hot areas.
It's not the same as ARK. Multiple campfires don't stack heat.

Campfire worked for me. But i am also on gamepass version..

Yes the biome and its temperature make a difference and the heat sources don’t stack

Been playing on Xbox, tried to put scorching eggs in desert but it's too hot and is at 50% rate

They dont? Then why did I get heat warnings on my character when I did it?

Might have been the area you were in combined with the +1 from the campfire? They definitely don't stack for incubators at least, haven't seen them stack on the player either.

if you are playing single game just increase or decrease (depends from you) the Egg incubation from your game's settings. I did mine and as soon as I put egg in it, it just gives me the "ready" (no need to wait for minutes or hours).

I was in the starter area so I dont think its that. I did have a firebarrel too though.
Was looking for an answer to this too but Im a bit late, if anyone else is confused in current build 0.1.4.1 the biomes aren't correctly handled for hotter eggs, the eastern desert will only get your egg to 50% speed and the lava mountain to the west DOES NOT AFFECT EGG SPEED AT ALL FOR SOME REASON, Huge fire eggs are hatched in about 1:20 at 50% speed and at the volcano where the heat gage is one pip from full the eggs in the incubator say 2 hours and 0% speed meaning that for some reason the heat at the western volcano currently doesn't do anything for incubation. This being said I have no idea how you'd get 100% on huge hot eggs and am currently looking for an area hot enough since I want to breed blazehowl nocts and an hour twenty for an egg to hatch is too long. For the record I had a base in the eastern desert with a full electric heater and a jormuntide ignis working it, I couldn't have made it anymore hot then that and only got 50%. The only thing I can think of that I haven't tried is stacking the different types of heaters, also noticed that putting things inside automatically makes the area colder so I haven't been trying to enclose too much.
Only 1 instance of an object counts, so 6 campfires is equal to 1.

The lil temperature gauge is kinda helpful to determine when eggs are comfortable. Logic is as follows:

If it points in the middle: Verdant/Neutral/Electric

If it points ONE block to the right: Fire/Ground/Dragon

If it points ONE block to the left: Dark/Water/Ice

So unfortunately you have to do a more work in environments that arent, like, normal. BUT, if you're in an area that has normal temperatures its very easy.
Make a group of incubators w/o anything = Verdant/Neutral/Electric.
Make a group of incubators with a single campfire = Fire/Ground/Dragon
Make a group of incubators with a single cooler (any pal works, though shoutouts to Vanwyrm Cryst for working in the night) = Dark/Water/Ice.
