It's really fun
Usually my expectations for survival games in EA are low, and I'm generally not a fan of the genre.

But I'm 22 hours in by now, part solo, part in coop, and I have a lot of fun. Boss gauntlet loop is great, the fights themselves are fun, progression is well structured, gameplay is smooth and so far bug-free. Visuals are nice. And I really dig the little touches bringing up the vampiric theme. How the castle and crafting stations are basically animated by magic. Animal forms, mind control. The fact that stack same items button is named "compulsively count".

The second necromancer boss can go and ♥♥♥♥ himself though.

Really hope the game will see full release eventually. May update looks promising.

I normally don't bother giving feedback or playing early access games, but this game is really fun and addicting. Playing it again, but a much slower pace, is quite enjoyable.

I think I know who you're talking about, but all necro boss are asses lol.

There does need some touch ups here and there. One thing I'd like to see is the ability to control respawns for npcs on server setups and a way to control and keep animals for Creature blood. Hate seeing 100% creature blood every now and then only to have it go to waste cause some bandits killed the wolf/bear/Deer.

It's a masterclass in design. It's one of the finest examples of its genre TODAY, and I can't imagine it will be contested, by anything, after the planned content releases.

The game is not loaded with microtransactions or premium currency or other modern gaming cancer. It is polished, runs well, and there is astoundingly little jank. It is $20.

It's an unfortunate reality of the times that the community essentially expects a live-service game to the point of getting hostile about the content schedule. A live-service game which would almost certainly include premium currency, shoddy development, a change in management vision, and other garbage which would make the game something other than what it is. And while there could potentially be more of it, it wouldn't be as good as a whole.

The game has already been awesome to me. Among the best time and money I've ever spent gaming. It will be a little bittersweet if it doesn't continue to grow, not because I think I'm owed more, but because the base systems and world are *so good* it would be like your favorite TV show being cancelled after one season.

If the developers continue to put stuff in the game, on their schedule, and honoring their vision, it will be even better. I'm not going to push them to change what they're doing, or do it faster. They are doing a good job.

Hi there! :) Oh, I haven't heard of this! But if Jeremy mentioned it, then perhaps it's something to keep an eye out for! :)

Easily one of the best EA games on steam. 20$ for this feels like a steal. I really hope they market this correctly when they come out with the update in May.

Definitely the best quality EA game I've gotten on Steam, literally nothing malfunctions. I only can't give it a positive review because the no-mat teleport + baseblocking makes pve annoying. Anti-creative design to make it a "who can block the main road first" game, nah. Good thing the update may improve things.
