Magic Cube is an indie dev team that has been developing unique casual games, and CREST is a publisher specializing in localizing anime games. In particular, this game features collaboration events with Himekuma Ribon and Quon Tama (scheduled). The story begins with a letter left by the mother of a girl named Iris. A half-elf girl, Iris sees a letter left by her mother in her will, and learns that her father, whom she thought had died, is actually alive. Iris sets out on her adventures with her childhood friend Arthur, a boy who dreams of becoming a hero, in search of her missing father. Along the way, she meets a new colleague, and gradually approaches the truth about her father's disappearance and the secrets of the world. You can recruit up to 10 members per mission, and the combination of members in your party is important in both adventure and battle. The game controls are simple with dashes that can move you left and right and other controls that help adjust your direction, but the gameplay is unique. There are various anime characters with different classes. If you rescue captured prisoners during your adventure, they will temporarily join your party as a member in the mission you rescued them in. There are 15 main characters and 2 Vtuber DLCs that support voice acting. Endless mode lets you experience challenging and playable main characters, and supports online ranking leaderboards for high scores. The Lord of the Parties is an interesting anime game, almost like a hidden gem. Various game genres are casually mixed; RPG, ACT, STG, Arcade, Visual Novel, and so on. When the game was released, there were some bugs that ruined the gameplay, but these errors were fixed in the new update, so there are no problems. Overall, the game looks like a mobile game, but the gameplay itself is casual and unique. The price seems a bit high compared to the contents of the game itself, but the main characters and story mode support full voice-overs, and considering the Vtuber collaboration event DLC, the price doesn’t seem so awful after all those considerations.
