Are Master Trade tools worth it?

Are Master Trade tools worth it? the very expensive one, craftable only with a Master Craft kit. Costs arounds 12~14k gold right now on EUC

so it depends what you do with your day

if you say excavate archaeology fragments all day and sell it for gold, sure you can pay it back to yourself

otherwise stay with the legendary or purple ones (just get something with super armor so you're gathering/harvesting doesn't get interrupted)

That's what I thought. It'll take a long time to make that gold back by doing the same task. might as well stick with the purple one

Just use purple ones, trying to restore such a tool is not worth it. Craft some with super armor for Platinum fields. There are areas you can gather mats that you will not be needing super armor, and would want to favor bonus materials.

Niheltops (bottom half) - Mining and excavation
Tideshelf Path - Fishing, Hunting, Logging, and Mining

If your skills are low lvl you can go to these low lvl areas that you wont need super armor either:

Golden Wave, Lullaby, Azure Wind

I recommend those if you have tools that doesn't have super armor, but if you have it then thats good, you can ran around and gather more mats, otherwise for tideshelf, you may just need to hop channels.

I already +30 level on Foraging, excavating and wood chopping. I have a good purple one, but I was just wondering if it's worth upgrading and why people are spending so much gold on the mastercraft kits

Haven't found any legendary/relic tool kits, are they map drop only? If so which ones? Haven't ran that much but did a few runs of punika/south vern ones and neither of them droped anything above purple if it all.

Frankly stick with the purples and have those at least have super armor on them. Esp if you get the good other rolls on them in one shot.

I believe they only come from the Execavation chests (both the random ones and from crafting the 1player maps.

Yea open world chests are so few and far in between, probably opened less than 10 the entire time, highest drop's just been purples so idk if relic drops from those. The maps did 1 punika and 2/3 south vern, none of them dropped anything above purple. Presumably if relic/legendary dropped at all they'd drop from those, idk if they'll drop from open world though.

They do can confirm. I did three maps, got one and realized I should quit while I was ahead.

Stick with Epic/Purple.

If you do get lucky and pick up a Legend crate I'd hang onto it for a special occasion. ^ ^

They drop from treasure maps, secret dungeons which can be crafted in the stronghold. Very low chance. I've found only 1 mastercraft kit and 2 legendary kits out of 50~ Punika maps. But back when I sold them, they were only 6~8k for the mastercraft kit, and 1 ~2k gold for the legendary ones. Now the price have doubled ( EUC )

Just pure speculation here I think the prices of mats will gradually go up since they are no longer giving away Fever Time consumables. So the pricing will accommodate more likely with Gems to Gold ratio which is good news IF they really stop giving away Battle Item Chest.

But right now it is not worth using the mastercraft/legendary kits unless you have really high lifeskills. Also depends on what you random with RARE procs are always good I'm always in need of Exquisite Mushrooms, Oreha Meat/Fish and Minigames are decent. Majority of the good bombs, potions require the rare stuff, including Stronghold feasts.

Just to point good thing about Legendaries is that you get more bonuses. Also try to roll a Non Durability reduction % to significantly reduce the costs of repairs.
