Does your system meet recommended requirements?

Processor

• Minimum: Intel i5-2500k (4 core 3.3 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (4 core 3.1 GHz)
  
• Recommended: Intel i5-6600k (4 core 3.5 GHz) or AMD Ryzen 5 2400 G (4 core 3.6 GHz)

Graphics

• Minimum: NVIDIA GTX 960 (4 GB) or AMD R9 290X (4 GB)
  
• Recommended: NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD RX 570 (4 GB)

Memory

• Minimum: 8 GB RAM
  
• Recommended: 8 GB RAM

Update your drivers:

• NVIDIA Graphics Drivers:
  Reference the NVIDIA GeForce site[www.nvidia.com] to set up automatic driver updates, or manually install driver updates.
  
  
• AMD Graphics Drivers:
  Reference the AMD site[www.amd.com] to set up automatic driver updates, or manually install driver updates.

Ensure the game is up-to-date:

Some issues you may be experiencing may have already been resolved in updates to the game. To guarantee your game is up-to-date, please make sure you are not launching the game while offline. Staying online ensures your local installation keeps being updated as we push out patches. Please also ensure you're on the default branch if you have previously switched to the experimental branch.

Verify your game files:

1. Using the gear icon on the God of War (2018) library page, open up the properties window
   
2. Navigate to the Local Files tab
   
3. Verify the integrity of the game files

What to do if you experience a low frequency crash

Report the crash:

If you experience a low frequency crash, the crash reporter should automatically launch. Reporting the crash will provide us with information to help prevent potential future low frequency crashes.

What if the crash reporter didn’t show after a crash?

If you have experienced a hard crash, before relaunching the game:

• Verify your game files
  
• Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date

If you would like to submit a ticket via our support portal[support.sms.playstation.com] for the developers to see, please include the following:

• PC Specifications including graphics settings
  
• Game Version
  
• Location of the crash in game
  
• After how many hours of playing did the crash occur
  
• Save Data Files
  
• DXDiag Report

Audio playback stopped when a controller was plugged in

Some controllers are recognized as audio devices by Windows OS. Follow the steps below to make sure your audio output device is correct.

1. Launch the Windows Settings application
   
2. Enter the System menu
   
3. Select Sound from the sub-menus
   
4. Ensure your audio output device is correct.

Where save data for God of War (2018) is located

Follow the file path below to access your save data for God of War (2018).

C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\Saved Games\God of War

The save file can be found within a folder titled with a string of characters unique to your user.

NOTE: If you permanently delete your save data file your progress will be lost. Any tampering with the save data file may result in lost progression or other issues.

How to collect a DXDiag for troubleshooting

What is DXDiag:

DirectX Diagnostics Tool or DXDiag is a tool for collecting relevant hardware data to assist in the troubleshooting process.

How to collect your DXDiag:

In order to collect your DXDiag as a text file for use with troubleshooting, follow these steps:

1. Open Command Prompt from the Start Menu
   
2. In the Command Prompt window, type "dxdiag" and press enter
   
3. This will open the DirectX Diagnostic tool in a new window
   
4. Allow the bar in the bottom left to fill completely as it is gathering relevant data for your computer
   
5. Select "Save All Information" to generate a text file that you can save to a desired location
