Fix for Windows 8 & 10 (NEW)
After much research (and again), I found a patch for windows 8 & 10

send me a private message, steam lock all link :(

Set "compatibility" for windows XP SP3 on "luxor2_x86.exe"

I do not have the file "luxor2_x86.exe". The executable is just labelled "luxor2.exe". Updates failed on startup due to the x86 version not being found. Just reinstalled, have permissions set properly. Why is my executable not named correctly?

Yo, I have a question. Although I have the HD versions of the first three Luxor games (Luxor 1, 2 and Amun Rising), is it worth it to try the fixes for the original versions?

sorry I removed it completely, I could not run steam because of this game. every time my steam was booted my computer crashed because he wanted to download luxor again when it was already installed. only solution was to erase it of my library

You don't really have to download anything, I just made a copy of Luxor2.exe, then renamed it to Luxor2_x86.exe and set compatibility with Windows XP SP3. After that I still had an error, then I added another .exe to the name of it and it worked!
