Hey! Controller Issues

Tried my PS4 controller and even my Switch Pro Controller, neither are working even though i turned them on in Big Picture settings. What gives?...Like, the controllers literally work outside of the game, is it something i have to do in the game's "controller settings"???

Did you make sure they were plugged in before you opened the game? You might want to make sure you do that. Other than that, there's a whole controller configuration process that is supposed to run the first time you open up the game. If your controller is working, pressing the right inputs should automatically configure your controls.

You can also run the Controller Configuration again by selecting it from the main menu.

Ya i saw that controller setup when the game 1st started, but it doesnt show up anymore. im guessing the "Controller Settings" in the game though is the same thing. both my controllers are Bluetooth and working with everything else though, but not with this game, ugh. And yes restarted the game multiple times to ensure the controllers work. (they still dont though) anything else i shuld try?

Yeah, the Controller Settings option in the title screen menu is the same as the one that pops up at the beginning of the game. Run that if you haven't already.

Other than that, the fact that you've mentioned Bluetooth might mean that this game (and/or other Inti Creates games made on the same engine) don't respond well to wireless controllers... That might explain a lot, because I always use my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller wired.

If all else fails, you might want to consider a program that treats your gamepad as keyboard input just for this. I unfortunately don't have much more to suggest to you other than this.

okay...gonna have to go for it. Otherwise, will just go for a refund if it doesnt work, and get the game+support the company still by getting it on the Switch, where i wont have problems lol. have the 1st two games there anyways, i just wanted to try this game on PC!

I guess you use different control options than what I do, which is simply to connect the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to the PC with the USB cable and play wired.

Mine presses diagonal up-right every time I press "right" on the left analog pad. I can't seem to change it no matter how many times I reset or check my controllers calibration. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I also reset windows.

hey I think I fixed it by plugging my controller into another USB port and then re-mapping the buttons from within the game

Yeah this game's port to pc and the issues with controls led me to refund it sadly, And I had high hopes for it too. In my case, Three controlpads one of which itself has four different modes to connect (DInput, XInput, Android and Switch) and neither of them in any configuration let me use the select button meaning the game ended up unplayable for me.

(And even in the manual button configuration or using their calibration thing the game SAW there was a select button, Would let me map it so it clearly KNOWS it is there but actually using it in game? Nope!)

Yup...refunded it myself actually, got it on Switch. NO problems there lol.
