Maybe the starbasases will be a meaningfull defense, not just in the early game.
And the capitals wont melt after the initial salvo.
I have to try it, but seemingly it addresses many complaint from the community, thus its thumbs up from my part.
I wouldn't worry too much just yet. So far, the population bonuses to resource income look to be scaling economies upward substantially.
I may need to be corrected on the actual values (since I can't load up an old game to verify) but as I recall, a fully upgraded Terran planet (for the TEC) usually wound up producing something in the 17-20 credits/second range (the wiki is showing a cap of 15 before bonuses). In my current post-patch game, the same planet is producing about 53 credits/second with at least one credit-boosting planet item still to go.
I'm sure more extensive studies are incoming but so far, it's feeling to me like the population bonuses are pushing incomes 'much' higher than they were before.
If so, we would like to see the return of diplomatic pacts, as in the supplement "Diplomacy" for the first part.
- Cost a red exotic for 'every' unit. (I understand adding a yellow to the V. Fabricator cost but these guys? Really?)
- Making their attack operate on an ability-charge system (which doesn't appear to auto-activate if you order them to attack a specific target - at least, not in my current game).
- *edit: Making the charges replenish as slowly as they do leading to a 'lot' (more than a minute between volleys by my count) of downtime. Especially if they autofire at an unintended target.
Again, it's early yet and I'm guessing they may not be working as intended where the autocast is concerned but so far, they seem like more of an unreliable hassle to use now. On top of that, the added exotic/fleet costs don't improve their value-proposition much when other high-pierce weapons are still more-or-less 'fine' when it comes to bringing down structures.
When are you finally adding some sort of shield mitigation into the game ? Shields are completely useless as of right now.
Are you balancing everything from a PvP pov ?
When will you return culture to its former glory, allowing advent to finally be played like in Rebellion ? Right now outside from ressource bonuses, it seems like a forgotten feature that someone at stardock felt it was too powerful.
I don't really understand these adjustements.
