I regret my purchase
This game has been nothing but disappointments all while shoving agendas down players throats. Unfair ai, and recycling of content since release as "new". Half assed "stories" and "content". It's like playing expecting the game to get better, but it just gets worse. Constant performance issues each update and a broken ass auction house. Nerfing of wheelspins and super wheelspins and car points making them useless. Playground games is a joke. This game is an embarrassment.

Coming back after a year, there's lots of new bodykits, a new radio station, new anti-lag turbo, new expansion (granted, with some recycling), even a Rimac Nevera. Overall I'm fine with it.

The AI still cheesy but beatable, just that Rally tires' on-road performance seems to have been adjusted and the expansion tracks have more complicated turns and terrain. After I changed my high power Rally tire builds to Semi-slicks it's been quite manageable using drafting and slingshots.

Agree the story is meh, I don't think I've done most of the story races but I'm just here to tune cars and go vroom. Can't say I care too much about wheelspins, I just mash through them at this point. Most of my credits came from testing builds in Rivals.

That's an easy way to say you don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the quality of the games you buy. Move along fanboy.

How many of those are recycled? Nearly everything from FH4. The rally is just some more recycled crap shoved down your throat expecting to see it as new. Oh boy a couple new "tracks" that were made in the main map. What a joke.

Oh, so it comes down to them being immature and greedy? You biting teenage troll, with your 350 games and 150 reviews.

This is some wacky projection, kid! Where does a teenager like you (are you yet age 16?) get employment enough to buy THREE-HUNDRED AND FIFTY VIDEO GAMES W/DLC?!

"win some lose sum get over it..."?? Well, sure, when the hundreds of dollars (thousands for you) that are peeling their way off to Steam year after year to keep you growing up (maturing) come off of your parents fat cash roll!

Hey, try this: Be grown up enough to delete that absurd response you fast-whipped at the thread's originator.

I regularly see new cars in 5 like the e-tron, Nissan Z, Nevera, Evija... Looking at the wiki[forza.fandom.com] it's at least 20 new cars added to Horizon every year, going by production year alone, even when I count all Extreme Es as 1 car. That's 1 car every 2 weeks, which I think is insane considering all the licensing negotiations and scanning and sound recording and production. I certainly wish there was more but there's probably a lot going on behind the scenes. For example I'm pretty sure car brands would generally prefer to promote their newer models, especially EVs.

The game most guilty of copying nearly everything from the previous game IMO is Need for Speed, of which Unbound is curiously more expensive than Forza 5 despite having around 20% of the cars and a smaller map, and I'm saying that even though I actually like NFS for arcadey city racing!

Wow a whole lot of 5 new cars every major DLC sure is something to be proud of? While the rest of the focus is recycled cars from every other Forza. We're not comparing which games do better or worse. We're talking about Forza, not NFS. PGG is just a lazy bunch who will push out anything of "content" if it means they can sell something from it. By this rate im surprised they haven't introduced MTX.

500+ hours in "I regret my purchase". Your playtime says otherwise, that's quite cheap entertainment if you divide the price by your hours played.
I've been playing this game for 8 days or 71 hours now and I am having a lot of fun, also what I learned from the game is that it's not important to win. :FH5Kudos:

Yes, the game is still fun because core gameplay is solid (and developed by devs that are not working in PG anymore), but also a disappointment that it's reskinned FH4 which was reskinning of FH3. Everything new added to the series to make it differentiate from previous ones is a big dumpster fire.

The game completes the main thing it promised. racing and driving.

But yes it is quite dissapointing if you dont race 24/7 and want to genuinely enjoy driving around, you cant look around the car, you cant even control your headlights and you cant do many things.

my views on FH5 are insanely mixed and i dont think i'll be buying FH6 if its gonna be like this.

FH5 just feels bland and leaves a bad taste after each play, its like if the whole air felt toxic, the voice actors dont feel like if they even wanted to be behind the mic at all. The whole game just sugarcoats you going 'you are the hero here' 'you are a superstar', soyboy much.

You've played this game for 500 hours and now you're going on that it sucks, if you spent that much time playing it you can't have been that unhappy with it. I sure wouldn't waste 500 hours of my life playing something I didn't like.

This "critique" is the definition of first world problems.

They haven't changed it much because it's a solid formula, millions of people play these games so the whole "it's a copy paste job" crowd are just a small minority. I've noticed that the people constantly complaining about this game never actually provide any good reasons to support their claims only hyperbolic assertions and nitpicking.

In the end, there's no better combination of sheer car variety, map scope, and freedom to play however you see fit anywhere else on the market.
