IT'S ALIIIIIIIIVVVEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Text-wise (and 99% graphic and music* wise) the game is presently fully playable and completed. Even in this Early Access build once you reach the end of Episode 1 you can continue playing all the way to the end of the game, complete with endings (albeit with presently missing art and work for stuff like the game's end credits sequence), without full voice acting if you so choose. The game will only warn you that it's not totally finished or voice acted beyond that point and offer you a safe place to save and push forward to the updated, voice-acted, episodes as they're added to the game.
So mostly done and polished but open for feedback and with the possibility of some minor polishes here and there to make it shine even brighter.
Disclaimer: At least, that's what I'm aware of at this time for the future.
This is spot on!
If there are any continuity issues or something "doesn't feel right", we would definitely be open to feedback! We would be happy to make the necessary adjustments to help the full release be as polished as possible.
I mean, thats why its EA after all.
Indeed it is, we purposely put it in the bundle so that long term fans can enjoy some extra savings. :)
Any rough estimate on reading length for a first playthrough, if I take time to listen to about 90% of the voiced lines? As long as Crystalline?
Does the current EA cover like 50% or just 30% of the full game?
There are 7 episodes in the game. EA has all of them when it comes to text and graphics; the voice over however isn't fully in on all episodes or for all characters yet. When you get to the point where the main cast isn't voiced you'll be scooted to a 'next episode hub' which'll let you keep going if you'd like to but will disclaimer that the game is less finished from that point.
All routes, endings, music, char-art, backgrounds, and CGs are in as of Early Access so the game is completely available if you don't mind missing voice overs.
As we finish up the main cast and side characters and do bug-fixes and tweaks the 'warning point' will be pushed along automatically if you save your game in the next episode hub and start from there.
edit:
Astral Ascension is around 400k words, though there's large sections that'll only be available if you're in a romance with particular characters at those stages of the story. (or are attempting to date multiple or even all of the romantic interests if you're very daring and fear no consequences)
It's about 2.5 times the 'volume' in sheer word count of Crystalline if that helps. I'm not sure the completion time for voiced but I'd expect 'longer than Crystalline' though I'm not sure by how much.
e: We hope to have the final game out before Q2 2025!
I'm the narrative designer by the way, hi! I'm the one doing all the 'character-acting and scene programming' for the game.
(*Batch AutoTranslation MANager, a custom software I developed to make lighter work the heavy and exacting file renaming required by Naninovel for this game)
*Ouch* Does it mean there will be one episode added every year or we should expect them to come out faster?
Hoping they'll all be out before Q2 2025. Technically, they are out right now just not fully voiced and with their final polish passes. We're hoping by Q2 2025 that all of them will be fully voiced and polished.
