I’ve merged all DLC & free update related topics into one big thread so that I can address as many questions at once as possible.

FAQs

• You can access Belerion via a new POI to the south of Tiltren
  
• The DLC is compatible with older saves
  
• All players in co-op are required to have the DLC in order to play together
  
• For region locked players: Belerion is an "end-game" region, enemies are slightly stronger than in Alazar

DLC

Quick question. id like to know if this new DLC is intended for late game, aka after the main map? or if its open from the get go? i play region locked

id like to know if we can use a old save with this new DLC

hope someone will clear this up for me so i know if i can prep a run before the release or if it will be a waste of time =)

Officially, we haven't been told that information. But if you look at the news (or the Discord), then they are having a Q&A on Wednesday this week before release. So drop your question in now.

As this is the first DLC, we don't have a track record to look back on, to see how it might function in regards to Region Locked. However, looking at the free updates that were Ludern, Grinmeer and Drombach...then I would imagine it might follow and be the new hardest zone. But then paying money and not being able to access content for hours would be frustrating.

If they put the region on a lower level, then region locked players who have cleared all the zones are going to breeze through it. A hard one to call to be honest, as some group of players in region locked are going to be in a predicament either way.

Best bet. Play adaptive! It is the way...

According to the dev QnA today you can continue your current save if you wish. The new region will be accessible early on by going south in tiltren, but because you play on region locked it will be a late game difficulty region.

I had a hard time trying to understand what they said in they said in the live and I´m not sure it that app has subtitles like on youtube. Can you sum up what they said, specially about the start of the campaign? We can start away as pirates?

They said this would depend of your playing mode, in locked region mode this would be a late game region access because of the Alazar (more or) equivalent difficulty, region free you will be able to access it very early by paying some ressources.

So you start normally like in the base game, you cant start in the new region. But they did say you could quickly get to the new region right away (on adaptive difficulty) but you would need some gold and wood to buy/repair your starting ship.

In the devs session they said that it will be a level 12 area for the ones that play region locked.

1.) will i be able to experince the full DLC on a already existing save file? or should i play on a new save?
2.) is there a release time?

1. if I understand correctly, it should continue in the original (as a region continuing on the southern side)
2. I assume that today (on Steam they write in two hours)
