Co-op questions
Hello there,

thinking about to buy this game but i have several questions about coop:

How is it working? I am unable to find a proper 'review' for this topic (only 1 hour long videos or 10 minute videos only showing a co-op fight)

Is it like a open world with your friend(s), how many can join, if you are on group - who is leading, is it only for battles, etc... ?

Would be nice if you could provide me some informations, sources or links.

Thanks

You are sharing the characters between your friends. You can change the distribution while playing. You don't have any advantage playing co-op, but it's fun playing with a friend. And you can't play that save-game without all the friends you started the game with.
As an example, we currently have 9 characters and my friend is leading 5 of them on the map and in combat.

Yes it is an open world coop.
You and your friend share your cash, can exchange item (equipment, food, medicine, etc.) through the camp box. And both of you must be together for entering town or setting camp.

And you can choose which player controls which character, like for me and my friends, I take all the archer and animal, while he focus on melee characters.

Is the co-op 2-player or 4-player?

Does each player have a band that moves separately on the world map, or are you all together and both players can click anywhere to change the troop's direction?

From the description of the update, I thought it was the latter, but from "both of you must be together for entering town or setting camp", it sounds like it's possible to not be together

You can play with 2, 3 or 4 players :)

Everyone moves their own party on the world map so you can as example move on the right side of the road picking resources like wood, flowers, iron ore and other on your side while I move around on the left side of the road picking stuff on my side.
You can both or all 3 or 4 (depending on with how many people you play) go as far as your screens edge until you get pushed together towards the leader (the host that started the game) that can "drag" you towards their direction that way.

Thanks. So if one band gets into a battle, do the others get automatically pulled in, or do they continue wandering the world map? Can they join the battle as reinforcements? And since enemy difficulty scales with player level and troop size, are enemies as strong as all parties together or whichever party they encounter?

Any interaction (battle, town, POI) that anyone clicks on will pull in everyone, regardless of how far away they are. While you have individual control of each group, it doesn't do much game-wise except let you spread out a little bit to pick up resources.

Co-op is a ton of fun, and I highly recommend it.

Just started playing with friend.
Its open-world coop but you cant move too far from each other, have to be on same screen range.
Coop is for 4 players max because at start there are only 4 characters. You can share characters but each player control they own, depends how you guys split characters between each other.

Anytime in camp, you can take control or give control to characters.
Every player has they own inventory but gold, influence and weight cap is shared across everyone.

Camp has shared chest where players can store value items or exchange items between each other.

When it comes to quests and dialogues, everyone can see and choose options but only one option is per company hence talk it out how you want to play.

Interactions in city you do as party so 1 location for all players at the same time.

Combat is turn based but within each turn there are free actions that you choose what character will move at time. All players can move without waiting for each other but for example: team move - enemy move - enemy move - team move = then if one player use team move, other players need to wait for next team move.

I think its all for now.
