64 bit build of DEFCON for Mac OS X 10.15 (Catalina)
Hello,

Since 32 bit applications no longer run on Mac OS X as of version 10.15, I have prepared a 64 bit build and placed it on the beta branch. The main changes are:
- Updated frameworks such as SDL
- Tried to ensure that fullscreen / windowed mode works as expected.

The build requires a minimum of Mac OS X 10.9.

To get at this build, from your steam library please right click on Defcon, Properties, Betas, Opt into the 'test' branch, then Local Files and Verify Integrity of Game Files....

It would be great if as many Mac OS X users as possible (not only those running 10.15) could try the build and reply here to let me know what version of Mac OS X you used and whether you were successful in running the game.

Thanks

John

I've just pushed another update to the test branch which implements high DPI support, which I think makes DEFCON look much crisper.

I've been testing it out on 10.14.6 and it seems to run fine.

Gave the beta a quick go in 10.14.6 and it works great! No startup errors, and the demo ran through a whole game without any issues. Looks like you did a wonderful job!

I bought Defcon way back in the Ambrosia days when it first came out (actually, along with Uplink and Darwinia as well). Is there any way for me to get access to the 64-bit compatible versions of these games? I still have my old serial number information. Ambrosia seems to have completely vanished without much trace.

would this ever effect the 32bit version? my computer can't run 64bit programs and im hoping for at least an option to switch back to the 32bit
SPLENDID!
