It only occurs is for whatever reason your game textures don't load completely before the end of the match. There is a bug that prevents certain textures to load completely during a match and if you complete the match you'll be forever stuck with a black screen after.

I have it happen often. It's been a bug for at least 3 patches now.

I have to verify the files almost every day so i prevents from happening

I had the same error. I tried so many things (router port forwarding [worked until 3.2.1])but what really worked for me yesterday was: Go to the Game Folder -> (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042) -> Go to EasyAntiCheat Folder -> Launch EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe -> Repair it for the Game.

Black screen after round, with symptom textures not loading, is happening for me since January. Complete uninstall of EA app and BF2024 solved problem for few days, but it came back - the issue is still here. After a round, when textures/models of winning team no longer load (you see placeholder instead) there is obvious that after round it goes to black screen. This game is broken they aren't solving this issue.

same here, and im using 2tb Nvme drive.

this has been a bug for atleast the entire lifetime of the game. i cant do multiple rounds without using task manager to end the application after every round. as sad as that is. it just goes to a black screen and wont proceed. its always done that

I am getting it probably every 3 matches

I get that very often. I have to restart the game, then it hangs and the loading just messes everything.

Sometimes repairing anticheat software helps for a few rounds, then it works for many weeks, then suddenly comes back.

This is the most common bug i have and is more common since last update. (Season 6)
