Game crashes
Game crashes almost every time I play. It seems to do it while am moving across map checking on the resource places to up more production. It does it once or twice a day. This is getting old. Need a fix for this soon . PLEASE !!!!!!!

I am having the same issue. In a few hours of play it has crashed 4-5 times. I though it might be a short term issue but has happened three days in a row.

It also seems to be happening when I am moving around the map from one area to another. I am not using the keyboard, I am holding the mouse pointer at the top/side of the screen and it just freezes up.

Twice in one hour, while running the Traffic Lights update. But that's it in over 140 hours played, those most of that was in the Trains update.

Good to know am not the only one having the issue. Hopefully devs will get it fixed soon.

Is there an issue with adding trains? I added a Main train station and one medium train station. I didn't notice at the time but they could have been linked in timing.

Thanks for writing this post, everyone. It wasn't clear to me that many people were affected or that it occurred often, I thought it was a rare issue. I'll check it out tomorrow.

If it helps, at least one of my crashes occurred after repeated attempts to connect 2 large Al miners that were in an awkward spot. Kept creating & deleting concrete road connections to my super highway.

2nd crash might have been caused by that or something similar. Was trying to correct a gridlock situation at the time.

Hm, alright. Just to make sure: When you say "crash", you mean the game freezing, not insta-quitting to Desktop, right?

It's frozen three times for me, once while placing yellow research and two other times just moving around....Might be around the Autosave time (but very not sure)

Mouse & keyboard are unresponsive, and Windows 10 eventually prompts that InfraSpace is unresponsive, and asks if I want to continue or exit the program. (Not the exact wording, but you get the drift.)

Have had like a game freeze most of the time a couple times went like to a instant quit. Seem to always happen when moving across the map with the mouse.

For me the "crashes" are the game locking up; cant move the screen, nothing moves, essentially looks like you hit pause. Nothing responds, eventually I will get the blue spinning wheel like it is waiting for something, but it never recovers. To get out I hit Control Tab and it goes white screen and asks if I want to stop the program or wait. I have to stop it.

Also I played for 2 hours last night without a crash (It was crashing every 10-30 minutes), the only difference was that I never zoomed all the way out when moving around the map. and I tried to use the movement keys (WASD) instead of just moving the mouse to the edge of the screen. After 2 hours it did crash/lock up.

Game is freezing still. Seems it is saying microsoft is not responding. Played yesterday no problems. Has done this twice already today. Very frustrating that this keeps happening. Am running windows 11 and have all the updates.

No more playing this until this problem is fixed one way or the other :(

olo
my laptop runs cooling fans at 100%, when i play this game
after few hours, or less, my same laptop shuts down, being too hot, i guess
then, after i power up, the game is reloaded, but my mouse pointer is gone
might be gpu issue ? too intensive cpu calculations ?

love the game

I am wondering if these crashes are based on the number of resources in play. I started over last night with a new city and it didn't crash at all. I played for about 4 hours and not one crash. I even had everything very stable and let it run overnight. when I checked on it this morning it was still running fine. (roughly 12 hours). My population is only around 800, using 2 lane concrete roads. Not much traffic. I am using districts (I didn't use them before, in the last base where it was crashing) I haven't added any trains.

I left it running this morning and will check on it after work.

I should have Mountains of Concrete and Steel made and ready to go. :-)
