Arc mainframe hacking issue

Hi, I maybe waited for too long before starting "main quest" (time to gather money, hard and software)...
I received mail on april, and in game I'm on october...

So... I tried to hack ARC central mainframe... Bypassed, cracked curve and voice control...
I cannot log in with chrono/socratesnotes (noral),
I tried to crack chrono supposed new password (looks like account is simply deleted... so unsuccessful)...
So I cracked admin password, copied every file on my gateway... cleaned the mess (ARC logs and internic log)...

But now, what?

I clearly remember there were further mission from my first gameplay 15 years ago... but Maybe I didnt wait for so long before doing the quest...

Please tell me there is another way than starting all over...

The agent's credentials are supposed to fail. Simply the act of trying to access the system with the agent's password will progress the story in a few in-game days.

doesnt sound like vanilla game... or maybe my memory's glitchy. Anyway in orig game you can get to main story if you solve all big hacks in first day news on your own - fun to do actually or investigate what dead agent was doing at 3 am and trace him. In first case you might get cyberweapon without knowing what it is. But as soon as you have it you're good to go events set in motion with time. Oh and those credentials help you in tiny way onlyto make one elegant entry instead of breaking in. Logically they fail on mainframe because agent was of course discovered if he's now dead. But I think credentials fail already before which's inconsistency in game :P

if you missed the start-time around april-14th (wonder how you would ever need longer than end march - even if you play casual you should be able to get full max-hardware and all software at least at begin of april - so you should be fin before the main story begins
sorry to say - but i guess you have to re-start to start main story around mid-april

Maybe because I didnt play for 100h and know every detail of this game... how and when to buy soft hardware in an optimised way... So I obviously wasted money somewhere, buying useles softs... doing too cheap missions... I dont know, but why is there on every forum that guy? The one that look down on every other player that have a lesser knowledge of the game

I think you dont miss things until game ends but you need to do detective work to find identity of dead agent and that relies on logs so if too many machines got wiped/erased in meantime it can be impossible for you to do it...

The problem is nothing happens when I hack ARC mainframe

I tried, to
- Simply log with given user/pass (no other crack), no log removal (anywhere)
- Decypher, voice authentication, try to login with given user/pass... removing logs somewhere else on the way (Internic... first jump)
- Breaking all security, this time logged as admin, copied every file on my gateway, removing logs in ARC Mainframe and internic
- Same without log removal (this one ended as a game over, but I backed up save, because I knew, or at least expected it was going to happen)

And every time I tried, I waited for 10 days... no eMail received (except the time I went to jail... but it doesnt count)


So... Is it just because I waited for 6 month, or am I missing something?

There is nothing on ARC mainframe except useful information in their logs that you can use to trace down agent. Once you do that and acquire an interesting piece of software story starts in couple days.
