How do I exit?

I am getting ready for a trip, bought this game because of the low graphics requirements for my laptop. I started it up to see if it would work, it does great, but it through me into a tutorial I cannot get out of without alt-tabbing out and killing the game from the task manager. Esc brings up a menu, but no option to exit. Tab brings up options but no option to leave.

Btw: I am running this on a Macbook Pro.

Um how to I leave?

ESC should bring up a menu to "leave location" to go to the map, then ESC again to "leave Darwinia" - it doesn't save your progress within a location - I'm on a MBPro too

it saves your progress in that location but for windows. i dont know for mac
