Fix the matchmaking for the love of god

when i find someone with a good connection the actual netcode itself is great!....but getting there is absolutely terrible! Alot of times I get either "Error occured" or "opponent not found", and the connection search settings are often completely ignored, still giving me people with 1 bar connections when I ask for 3+. Waiting in Training Mode also just does NOTHING.

yep. it's a real shame. it's a pretty niche game, having awful matchmaking week 1 is a complete killer. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows

i feel the same, but i ended up realising.... probably none plays matchmaking and they alll just go on lobbies, because that's how this community is used to play the previous games.
On PS5 i could only get some wifi warriors (stong indication that were new as me) but when i went in lobbies it was full of people.

Check your Windows' regional setting is what you expect. The game uses it to matchmake you.

Same. 20 hours in, and im managed to play only 13 games online.
99% of time it's either:
a) "An error occurred"
b) opponents with lvl 1 connection
c) no opponents at all. Just endless searching window.

I tried different regions in windows settings and on steam. Doesn't help.
Really wanna play the game, but that's just became frustrating at this point.

I've had zero issues with the matchmaking outside from rare "Error occurred" messages, and I live in a place with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ latency. I accept any connections and very rarely is a game unplayable. I've gotten 120+ matches and maybe 10-15 of them were against people with actually bad internet setups.

Dude the kof community is like 20 guys, there's thousands more people playing this than that. The matchmaking is broken.

I don't get whats your point in your comment. All people in FGs except Tekken, SF, DBFZ don't have enough ppl to match make so they always make lobbies and talk in discords. You are probably used to a game that people just queue up normally, it ain't like that everywhere.

Good chance that the matchmaking is actually broken, but still there are so many lobbies up all the time, it's not like you cant play.

Tekken, SF and DBFZ didn't come out less than week ago on PC dude, ffs. Nobody cares if the lobbies work or not (and a lot of them don't just fyi), people are asking to fix the ranked and casual queues so the game has a chance to be popular before dying off and becoming a discord fighter, preferably after the game's first week on steam.

Suit yourself mate, I just mentioned that the alternative exists, you can always refund if you don't like it, or not play till they fix it.

Or I could bring it to the attention of the devs so they can fix the game instead of being a dumb fanboy defending the game's honor online even if it means the game stays broken. That works great for me.
