Basic Troubleshooting Help
ReadMe
Before asking for help, please check the troubleshooting section in the readme file included with Desktop+. It can also be viewed online here[github.com].

Accessing Desktop+
Desktop+ is a SteamVR overlay application. It does not take focus as the primary VR application and instead runs in the background. It can be accessed and configured from the SteamVR dashboard (press the system button on your controller).

How do I... ?
Basic usage is explained in the readme file. Step by step instructions for a few common scenarios can be found in the User Guide[github.com]'s Usage Examples section.
Desktop+ comes with a little bit of a learning curve, but many options don't have to be touched at all for most uses.

Things to include
When you do ask for help, please provide basic information about your setup if you believe something may be wrong with Desktop+. This includes the type of VR headset and system specifications.
Logs are available in the application directory ([Steam Library Folder]\SteamApps\common\DesktopPlus) as DesktopPlus.log & DesktopPlusUI.log. They contain VR system information and may list the cause of known error cases, so they're useful to add in most cases.
If your issue persists over multiple launches of the application, it's a good idea to include your config file as well. It can be found in the application directory (config.ini. It helps a lot with reproducing the issue.

Meta/Oculus Users
Desktop+ does work on Meta/Oculus headsets, including the Quest models via Link Cable or wireless streaming solutions. As a SteamVR overlay application, it is limited to only appearing in games using SteamVR, however.
Many VR games on Steam default to using the Oculus SDK instead of SteamVR once they detect an Oculus device. How to work around it depends on each game individually and is not something Desktop+ can solve for you automatically.

Note that while Oculus headsets are supported, my ability of troubleshooting around issues related to them will be limited. I simply don't own any Oculus hardware to verify or test things myself.
