Demo v0.14.1 (0282) patch notes - 9/7/2023
Reality Break Demo build v0.14.1 (0282) has gone live!

Courtney's dev notes: This build addresses the issue where higher-level Pilots were causing the game to generate overly difficult or impossible missions, as well as a variety of other fixes and improvements.

Stability
  • The game's enemy AI will no longer occasionally get into a bad state if it's patrolling too close to the map's bounds, which was causing enemy ships to stop moving altogether.
Quality of Life
  • Added a few new tutorials to explain the start of a new Cycle as well as highlight the ability to opt into a reality break on later Cycles.
Balance
  • Scatterguns now deal up to double damage based on how close a target is, and they fire 35-40% faster.
  • Loot Quality now reduces the ilvl5 threshold required for random Epics to drop.
  • The Fission elite enemy affix no longer triggers if the source ship or any of its split clones have less than 25% health, preventing endless splitting.
Bug fixes
  • fixed side mission (as well as certain story mission) enemy levels getting out of control; side missions now scale to the current or most recent story mission's level
  • fixed a small issue slowing down game startup, but more work will be done here
  • fixed Epic Nucleus item Twincore not being unequippable while Alter Spacetime is active
  • fixed equipped Fate Core item showing a pulsing ring around the rewrite lightning bolt even when it wasn't rewritable
  • fixed Credit drops sometimes moving out of the plane of gameplay and become impossible to pick up
  • fixed game sounds not pausing when game is paused
  • fixed a bug with the Fission elite enemy affix that was refilling health on the spawned clones instead of splitting it between them at 60% each
  • fixed buying/selling Talents being hardcoded to LMB and RMB (including the virtual mouse for gamepad); Buy is now on the Confirm binding, and Reset now has its own binding that defaults to RMB/Left Shoulder.
