By playing an AoE game that has Portuguese :P As of now that's AoE 2 and 3

AoE IV is much smaller than previous games. That is not an opinion, but a fact. Less civilizations and less campaigns consequently makes single player a smaller game as well in comparison to the older games from this series. Even AoE: DE despite it being the first game from this series has more beefy content (including more campaigns, more civilizations, and map editor) than AoE IV. Also, RoR dlc from AoE II: DE technically speaking adds more to AoE: DE as well.

a few civs get ribaudequins, or however that is spelled, which are basically short ranged organ guns. that's the best you can do so far.

that is unfair,quality is always better than quantity,the civ in this game is much more detailed,they have their own soundtrack from each ages, notice how units and villagers change the way their speak from castle to imperial age,even the faction music change depend if you having a small skirmish or a grand battle.

they put a lot of work into create those factions,it just not clones with 1 unique and a bonus like back in previous games.

That's equally unfair to the old games. Repeating the same old "AoE 2 civs are just copy paste" is wrong on so many levels + you obviously never played AoE 3 or AoM.

You probable do not understand, that AoE IV is a new game - and older AoE games received multiple expansions during the years... especially AoE II (The Age of Kings) released in 1999 , which received 9 exapnsions until today - The Conquerors, The Forgotten, The African Kingdoms, Rise of the Rajas, The Last Khans (DE), Lords of the West, Dawn of the Dukes, Dynasties of India and Return of Rome

Really hope so, for so many years I didn't played a rts as much as I'm currently playing AoE4

Yes, but I was also young when I first I started playing AOE II. I was not even 13 years old yet when I had first played Age of Kings from the original. However, I never played multiplayer from the original game. If there is going to be a dlc for AoE IV it is probably going to come out during this fall.

I cannot remember the exact year when I first played Age of Empires II, but it was a very long time ago. It is worth pointing out however that Age of Conquerors came out only one year after Age of Kings from the year 2000 and I was only 10 years old from the year 2000 as well. When you are at an age that young you do not get as bored as easily. Also, I was unaware of HD until I became an adult many years later. I also remember spending many hours as well just on the map editor from the original AoE II game.

Than perhaps You remember , that Age of Kings had 4 campaigns (Barbarosa, Genghis Khan, Saladin and Joan of Arc)+ tutorial campaign with simple missions, and during the years, AoE2 was re-released twice (HD and DE editions) and recived many new content..

The AoE IV is in the similar position like AoE 2 :Age of Kings, it have not received expansion or DLC yet

Yes, AoE1, AoE2 and AoM received 1 expansion, and AoE3 received 2

AoE4 received Anniversary uptade with 2 new civs, but AoE4 needs expansion or DLC a lot

What I noticed, the situation with Relic and Company of Heroes 3 is bad, they fired like 100 employes...

But I hope / want new content for AoE4
